What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

Elizabeth blinks.

"I can teach the basics, but were you not going to divine the future through your own ways? I have... Only met with one of the many social links I need to and am wondering if they are here or if it is me."

"Oh! Right. But could you teach me later? I always love learning new things." Seriously, she can be world's most driven experimenter sometimes.

"Okay..." She coughs once and stares deeply into her crystal ball. It's just a prop, but she's gonna give Elizabeth a good show.

"I sense... your contact will find you! But it may not be when you expect..."

"Of course. I do not see it as going against my duties to show others."

She ponders and tilts her head a bit.

"Given how I do not know what they will be like, I have no idea what to expect. This makes this divination puzzling indeed."

"Well, you may or may not meet them today. The future is hazy on that sense. But you will meet them!"

Seems like a pretty reasonable guess on Twilight's part. If they said they would meet, they will! Even if they miss each other today.

"Well, expecting them to come all at once is something I had not even considered. I just know that I have hit the point where my magic alone was not enough to endure the trial at hand."

Twilight frowns and rubs her ball, pretending to look very hard at something inside it.

"Tell me more about this trial. I may be able to see something about it."

She tilts her head and ponders for a minute.

"Are you familiar with the beasts that are created by people's thoughts? Dark things that feed off of chaos and despair and grow stronger from them?"

"N-no. Most people I know aren't beastly!"

"No, it is not the people who are beastly, merely the feelings. Perhaps one's lust for gold makes them blind to the plight of others, or one's will to excel above all others has made them boastful. If enough people feed these emotions sometimes they can take on a life of their own, or sometimes they awaken old terrible things best left sleeping."

"... I see. So, are you trying to combat bad emotions? ... That are somehow becoming sentient?"

"Sort of. They themselves have not become sentient, but they feed a horrible creature that wishes to sing all life along to oblivion."

Twilight's mouth drops open. "That sounds... incredible. Far beyond anything I've ever encountered. How could something sing the world to death?"

She shakes her head and looks down, almost afraid.

"Magic, the darkest most terrible kind of magic. A song sung in languages birthed before time was time and before mortals walked the earth."

Twilight rubs her glass and looks into it, but shakes her head. "That's too big for me to be able to tell anything. I'm sorry. The best thing I can do is wish you luck. Especially since it sounds like all of reality is depending on you!"

"Oh, I should hope not! While I have my quest, I have no real concept of how to complete it. I know my own power has not been enough."

She lets out a sigh and shakes her head.

"If it's a magical problem, maybe I could help? I've been studying magic for years now." By way of demonstration, she levitates her glasses onto her face; she also takes out a notebook.

"How does one defeat despair? I have attacked the beast birthed by despair and dread, but killing it does nothing when there is so much food about for it to recover."

"Hope! Love. Friendship. Harmony! Give those a try. Maybe my Elements of Harmony could help to defeat it."

"Hope is something that seemed to seal away its goal, however these are things I do not know. I know power. Raw magical power. The kind that binds souls as I was born of it, the others are... Outside of my training sadly."

She sighs a bit.

"Well, it's never too late to learn!" Twilight smiles, trying to cheer her up. "Besides, from all of my research, I've learned that friendship is the most powerful kind of magic there is."

"It is possible that it is somehow linked to the final card. I however suspect as I am merely the fool for now I have much to learn about these things."
