The Cultural Fair!
Who: Everyone's invited!
What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!
Where: All around the town square!
Summary: Here.
Rating: ... who knows?!
Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.
Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)
CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)
I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!
For ideas/reference on how it was handled last time, feel free to look through here! There's no official signup, so go forth!

[ There's a wryly smirk on Helios' lips as he then laughs at Jack's words. He'll nudge Max with his elbow a faint blush on his features at Max's words. Oh my. ]
Don't tease poor Jack like that, dear. There's no need for baking servitude, even if these cakes are quite delicious. I think I might have to try my hand at making these as well. You're not going to make me wear the same thing, are you?
[ Helios will just have a derpy smile on his face as he teases the other man. He can do that, tease, it's not that he's lost the ability to but, well, it's been awhile since he's done it. ]

[Jack lifts his tea with an answering smirk, taking a healthy drink before continuing.]
Because I can give you private time, really.
no subject
And hey, if you want to wander around wearing just an apron, I am not gonna object.
[He grins, utterly unrepentant at the two of them.]
Just consider it turnabout for those times I've had to listen to the two of you while trying to sleep.

And-and there's no need for-for anything like that. [ Aside from all those times shifted, and just even thinking about them makes his face burn even more. But that is not a conversation he is going to get into out in public and not especially in front of Jack of all people. He'll just rub the bridge of his nose and let out a huff. Right subject change is most prudent at this point. ]
S-So how has the, ah, cricket demonstrations been? It's been such a long time since I've played.
no subject
Oh, God Helios, your face-! [He's practically giggling in his joy, and he's slow to catch his breath, scrubbing at his face and rocking back in his chair.]
Sorry, I live with perverts. This one included. [He jerks his head toward Max, eyes still fixed on Helios, smile still broad.] But we've had a few brave souls, yeah. I didn't know you'd played.
no subject
Hey! I am not a pervert! My mind is clean and pure as new fallen snow. [The smile he actually gives is about as impure as is possible.]
I think we should get a proper game together sometime. It'd be fun. Might have to introduce rules to take into account super speed or whatever.
no subject
Fallen snow...of course. [ He so does not believe that, just so you know Max. But his lips are turned up in a wry smirk and he shakes his head with an amused chuckle. ] I-I played a few times back in-in Romania. It's not as popular as it is in England and other countries, but once or twice I've had the chance to, um, play.
[ He wasn't very good admittedly. ] You should try applying magic to it. I know some magic schools have done it before with other sports. It sometimes makes it even more...interesting.

[He slides his hand into Helios's, giving his fingers a gentle squeeze.]
I'm not sure I'd consider myself kicking butt. We'll figure something out that works for everyone. I hope.

[ Helios does have a reason to believe his skepticism is well founded. Oh, dear. There goes his face again, lighting up like a Christmas tree. But he does manage to smile, sheepish as it is, when Max entangles his fingers with his own. He'll blink then at Jack's words laughing and giving a slight exasperated huff. ]
Oh but of course. I-I didn't mean anything personal or demeaning by it. But perhaps if I can get started on a little project of mine, the magical 'butt kicking' as you put it might not just be reserved for us magic folk any longer.
[ but that was a long way off and lots of trials had to be done before anything could be set in stone as to being possible. ] we always do manage to figure something out to-to include everyone. I-I'm sure there's lots of people who would be willing to play cricket with the both. Who knows maybe you could even start team.
