What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

In a way you could say that. My world is made up of basic particles called fonons, and Lorelei represents the seventh. The seventh fonon is the only one that can be used to heal, and there are few who can wield it. The Grand Fonic Hymn, the hymns of my family, represent the pact my ancestor formed with Lorelei to protect and save the world she loved. That is the promise I speak of. [Though putting it that way, it does seem strange that such important songs were used as a lullaby.]

Each of the hymns hold meaning and symbolism echoing that love, I'm sure I'm not the first to have had it sung to me as a lullaby.

[The way Tear spoke about these hymns really made Eley realise just how important they were, not only to her but to her entire world and its history. He also realised the power they must hold... there was only one account of a Spirit being able to heal in his own world. He knew how vital that rare gift could be.]

Would I be correct in assuming you can also use this seventh fonon? Being in such an important position and linked to that ancestor... you must be very powerful. I only hope that that power is more often used for such peaceful means as singing a child to sleep.

Yes, I'm a Seventh Fonist. But I wouldn't put myself above anyone else. [She knows how much potential there was in her, seen it firsthand in her brother. To draw such attention to herself, however, would be defeated her family's purpose and the decision they made two thousand years prior.]

Other than my brother, I am the only other person who knows and can use them. [Soon she would be the only one.] Even though some of the hymns have offensive power, I intend to use them only to protect and comfort the people, and to help build a better future.

Well... then I cannot dislike you for that choice. I only wish that it was not necessary to resort to violent means to build that future. Perhaps there can be allowances if it means to protect what it is important though. It is... something I will have to think through.

Maybe, it's something to think about. But it's all up to you. [Even though there was a time she was more of the mentality of strike first, ask questions later, though it had more to do with what was at stake if she didn't act.]

The other hymns... You've experienced the first one, which lulls those it targets into sleep. The second hymn creates an impenetrable barrier that can withstand even landmass falling upon it. The third and fourth are hymns of healing, while the fifth is for felling enemies. The sixth is along a similar vein, calling down sacred light.
