What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

You should! There's no reason not to.

Not everyone gets this sort of opportunity. In my world, anyway.

Where I'm from, no one can do anything like that. I... definitely want to learn.

It shouldn't be too hard to get in touch with one of the spirits. At least I don't think so.

Eferin likes the woods, which is a little weird considering its fire, but you should find a nice clearing somewhere in there and try to make contact.

[And hopefully not burn the woods down in the process.]

I-- I'll have to try that. I have a camp near the woods, right by the lake.

I... have an apartment, too. I just... sometimes I like to get away from everything for a bit.

It's a good question. [Clove herself has asked people before about the allies they have here.]

I've got two people from home I know here, and... I think there are a few others who like me well enough. [Defining "friend" is hard for her, and people don't always hear "ally" right if she uses it.]

But you don't know them well enough to stay with them, I guess? That's okay.

If I'd been taken from a little earlier (and that sounds really weird to say out loud still) I wouldn't have wanted to stay with anyone I know here either.

[And yet, Clove knows what he means. She's wondered every once and awhile what she'd be now if the Malnosso had brought her from the Games. Or from before. Rather than after she died. Would it be better or worse?]

I live with one of them. Cato. We... grew up together. He always knows if I'm not at the apartment, I'm at the camp.

Oh! I know him. I was just talking to him the other day. He sounds alright.

[Zuko knows nothing about either of them, but still.]

Yeah. He is. We take care of each other.

That's good. I know some people get stuck here on their own, so it's nice to know you've got someone you're already familiar with watching your back.

[Clove smiles a little.] It really is. We work well together, always have.

[Except for new trust issues, but... they're trying to work through those. And she's not going to discuss anything like that with strangers.]

So you... have friends here, then?

Yeah, a few. It looks like I've been lucky that way.

[He gestures around.]

They were mostly responsible for this thing, really.

Ikki? That's Aang's... future relation of some sort, right?

[Thinking of the little monk as a grandfather still throws him off.]
