What: A party to celebrate the longest day of the year

Where: The Southern Lake
Summary: Helios and Saori decided to host a party with food, dancing, and friends to mark the solstice, the birthday of a friend, and several other personal things. Residents volunteered to help get it together, and now all the work is done so it's time to set aside their troubles and enjoy summer!
Rating: PG to PG-13 at most (For language most likely)


It'd taken a week, getting everything together, but with everyone pitching in they'd managed it. Food, drinks, decorations, and all the trappings of a fine summer party. An area had been roped off for dancing and music, umbrella'd tables had been procured for meals and relaxing in the shade, and they'd even set up a piano for Fredric to perform with. A gentle breeze kept the lakeshore cool and mosquito free, and by noon everything appeared to be ready for the midsummer party.

The Longest Day, Helios' boyfriend's birthday, and Saori's ascension day had all conveniently coincided, so no matter what you're here to celebrate, enjoy yourselves and have fun! Toss your character anywhere, and remember that all important rule. As a note, teleport sigils to the other party were set up by Helios so feel free to pop between the two. Go ahead and start new top-level comments if you like too, these are just generic ones!

Food tables

[Hungry? Well there are several tables set up with all sorts of dishes from all over Luceti. Have a bite, catch a friend, have a conversation!]

[Well, she took a lot of time preparing food, so Saori isn't going to skip out on eating it. Abandoning her usually simple diet, she's got a full plate in front of her and two more that've been emptied already. She'll welcome conversation, and won't hesitate to offer suggestions on what to try.]

Everything came out delicious, don't you think? [ Helios has been stuffing himself, but he's taking a break now because boy they made way too much food. ]

[Saori nods, setting down a large spoonful of rice.]

Yes, I think so. It'd only be better if the rest of our housemates stirred themselves to attend. Or even deign to acknowledge they're living with us.

[She's still slightly bitter about Adele, and this is a day to put troubles behind her, at nightfall.]

[ There's a not too subtle frown on his features as he nods. Looking around at the guests he can't see Sabriel or Adele among them. ]

I-I wish things happened d-differently between everyone. Perhaps they'll sh-show up though? [ He can only hope and be optimistic at this point, but he somehow knows that isn't going to be the case. ]

We should enjoy ourselves regardless.

Well, yes, that is the point, isn't it? Skysong and the others seem quite happy, and it's as much a welcome party for them as anything else.

[She shovels another bite of rice into her mouth and chews thoughtfully before speaking again]

I do wish Loki hadn't just...appeared, but I suppose it's of no consequence. Regardless. The food is wonderful, and you seem in high spirits. Forgive me my little bouts of bitterness. The party is lovely. And I think we did a good job setting it up.
