Summary: Well. So sometimes the Malnosso actually do legitimate experiments that aren't heaped in heavy plot. This is one of those times. Look, just go read the mod post, would you?

What... really? [This sudden praise from a stranger. And... yeah. He's starting to pick up on that glowy aura. He's not exactly familiar with the kinds of powers other mutants can have, but that definitely isn't some normal human thing. He knows that much.] But, you don't even know me. You... are you not normal, too?

[He quickly pulls the marbles back and hops back away from the fire. This is not going out well.

So this guy's a firebender, huh? That's okay. He knows how to talk to firebenders.]

Uh yeah, genius. I can see that. [ Well, okay, no she can't. Still. ] But this isn't my house. Why did you bring me here? Do you know who I am?

Oh, of course! [He nods eagerly and animatedly goes on.] I already think that you're great and I just met you! You're really nice and you're really neat! I like that you're both a dragon and a spirit. You might be the only spirit I've met, but you're still the best!

[As self-absorbed as Mytho seemed to be... the moment Makie begins to trip, Mytho quickly turns in her direction as if catching it in some corner of his eye. And the lunges forward, then goes into a slide along the ground as swiftly as he can in an attempt to catch Makie in his arms, his own legs experiencing an unfelt pain in the process.]

Day 1

[Fon Master. Impossible. Beyond using a name that isn't Evenos, this child is clearly too young to be a fon master. Surely he would have heard of such an upheaval if something had happened to Evenos. There's also the fact that this child does seem to be relatively clueless, gullible in some way.

But he gives a light now.]

My apologies, fon master. I can understand your confusion. I was recently performing a minor operation in Malkuth which required me to wear one of their uniforms. [He sighs.] And it seems that wherever we may now be, my actual uniform is nowhere to be found.

[winds_voice]

[Well. That certainly did a lot for Eley's ego and he can't help but feel a certain sense of pride that someone, even a total stranger, would regard him so highly.

...though suggesting that he was 'nice' in his current state brought with it some strange unsettling feelings too.]

The dragon became a symbol among my people. So I chose this form to appear before them. Even... if they did turn me down not so long ago. [He utters a low growl, as if frustrated.] You believe that I am nice, and I would hope that is the case, but I have done terrible things. I feel things a Spirit should not and I do not know what to do with such emotions.

Nice to meet you, Toph! I'm Aang. [He smiles and gives a cheery wave.] Me and Appa can get you home no problem! Where do you live?

[ Okay, this guy's friendliness is kind of off-putting. ]

... So first you kidnap me, and then you guys offer to take me home? What kinda kidnapper are you?

Right. I've already been over there... It's mostly woods, so I didn't want to wander too far, though no one stopped me.

[WHOA! SUDDENLY IN THE AIR AND OUT OF THE WATER! Xzana does not like this! The tiny dragon bites down hard, trying to hang on for dear life. Only her jaws aren't that strong and she does eventually go flying and lands just on the shore.

She pushes herself up onto her feet and stands there shaking a moment. She was out of the water! The tiny newly hatched dragon does her best to not panic as she can still see the water there, but how does she get to it? Is it possible to swim through the air?

Not only did she have to figure out how to move in the air there were other things now troubling her. She couldn't breath anymore for one. Also her poor legs were not use to taking on her own body weight as they shivered under her.

It will be okay so long as she doesn't panic.

So that's exactly the opposite what she does. One tiny claw reaches into the air as she attempts to swim her way back to the water, only managing to fall over instead. The tiny thing lays on the shore just MILLIMETERS from the water, twitching and gasping for breath.

She's completely forgotten that she also has a giant to deal with too at the moment. Or well, at leat Norma seems like a giant at Xzana's current tiny size.]

[Loki gives him an unimpressed look and wanders over.]

Huh? But I'm not a kidnapper, I'm an air nomad!

[Loki looks up at the man.]

Of course I do. I have to keep up with my practice. [He's honestly more enthusiastic about practicing here because there are no other boys around, and he doesn't have to deal with the armsmaster. Plus he likes playing with the simulations.]

Huh? You do? But spirits are different than people. I didn't know you could... feel emotions, like that. I only ever heard that spirits can be disturbed and cause trouble when people are bad. [He dusts himself off and slowly steps closer now that the spirit seems calmer.]

An air nomad? [ Toph frowns. ] Nice try, but even I know there aren't any air nomads left in the world.

[Day 1]

[Yuan isn't surprised that Raine won't truly acknowledge his presence. It's tough enough being a half-elf by yourself, but some places have it worse than others. The more half-elves gather in the same place, the more dramatic the reaction humans will have. Before you know it, you'll be accused of plotting to commit a crime and thrown into jail. Keeping your head down and staying out of trouble is the best way to live your life.

Still, he can't just walk away. This woman may have sensed Mithos or Martel around, she may even have seen them. Once he's sure there aren't too many other villagers in the near vicinity, he'll approach her on his own accord.]

Then it was some form of magic. But you are human, are you not?

[He appeared that way, aside from the strange wings he kept finding on those he met. Since Eley had gained wings of his own though, he could only assume it was an effect of the environment. Still, perhaps the dragon was missing something. There were few humanoids in Aether that weren't human and they had rather more obviously inhuman features.]

How can a human come to use 'magic'?
