Summary: Well. So sometimes the Malnosso actually do legitimate experiments that aren't heaped in heavy plot. This is one of those times. Look, just go read the mod post, would you?

Nice to meet you, Toph! I'm Aang. [He smiles and gives a cheery wave.] Me and Appa can get you home no problem! Where do you live?

[ Okay, this guy's friendliness is kind of off-putting. ]

... So first you kidnap me, and then you guys offer to take me home? What kinda kidnapper are you?

Huh? But I'm not a kidnapper, I'm an air nomad!

An air nomad? [ Toph frowns. ] Nice try, but even I know there aren't any air nomads left in the world.

[He frowns. Why do people keep saying that?]

You just haven't seen one, that's all. There's plenty of us out there.

Well, duh. Of course I haven't seen one. [ And here, Toph waves her hand in front of her eyes. Rude, much? ]

[He... doesn't really know what that means. So he waves back.]

Well you're looking at one now! [And he quickly reaches into his shirt - luckily he just found these.] Now take a look at this!

[ Toph gives it a few seconds. And then she just crosses her arms across her chest. ]

... So, y'know how they say seeing is believing? Yeah, not gonna work here, buddy.

Really? [But seeing is believing. He frowns and slowly brings his precious marbles to a halt.] What'll it take to convince you, then?

How'm I supposed to know? All I've heard about airbenders are stories. I mean, you can't really fly, can you?

Maybe I can! [He picks up his staff and whirls it around confidently.] With my trusty glider!

[seismicity]

Right... A glider. [ Her voice should tell him what she thinks of that. Still, she can tell he isn't lying. So either he's telling the truth, or he just believes his own lies. ] Sure, okay. And you're just gonna go flying into the air with that?

Would you stop me if I did?

Bet I could if I wanted to. [ So confident, too. Little does she know. ]

[He gives a smug look for just a moment more, than he goes goofy.]

But you won't want to, cuz it's fun! Come on outside and I'll show you.

[ What part of seeing is believing doesn't work for me does he not understand?

But no, if they're going outside then she can just escape whenever she wants to. So she goes along with it. ]

Yeah, we'll see about that. [ She starts heading for what she assumes to be the exit. A backdoor, maybe? ]

Yep! [He had been walking towards the front door, but he stops midstep noticing Toph going to what seemed to be the backdoor. With a quiet shrug, he went and walked alongside her.]

[seismicity]

[ Stepping outside is a bit of a relief for her, getting her bare feet on some actual earth. It's also disconcerting; she's fairly sure she really has no idea where this place even is.

Still, she turns back to Aang. Maybe he can help, after he's done doing his... thing. ]

So? Show me what you've got.

[He takes a moment to breathe in the fresh air and claps his hands together.]

Sure! Take a look at this, Toph.

[He pops his staff into glider form and he quickly takes off, soaring in a circle above Toph.]

[ Woah! She wasn't sure what she should be expecting, but it certainly wasn't him just up and disappearing like that (as far as she could see, anyway!)

She turns in a circle, noticably not following the direction Aang is soaring above her. ]

Hey! Where'd you go!

I'm right above you, silly! Can't you see me? Want me to take you for a ride?

[seismicity]

[ She crosses her arms impatiently, looking up and trying to follow the sound of his voice. ]

Uh, no, I can't! [ Does she have to spell it out for him! ] Get back down here where I can!

[savedtheworld]

But I'm right here!

[He swoops down and lands besides her.]

[seismicity]

[ The moment he's back on the ground, she whips around to face him. ]

There you are! [ ... ] What was that? [ Was he really flying! ]
