Summary: Well. So sometimes the Malnosso actually do legitimate experiments that aren't heaped in heavy plot. This is one of those times. Look, just go read the mod post, would you?

brb, starting collecting of aderpable teenage boys

[Selphie's a bit baffled by what's going on in the village today. Everybody is either acting like this is nothing unusual or they're acting similar to how she was on that day back in July.

She's used to the bizarre thanks to circumstances from back home but when she see's Aang on his glider, she wonders if it's just a rather large bird. However, when the boy wooshes past her on his scooter, the wind is enough to knock her down, landing on her rear.]

HEY!

[Should Aang manage to hear her, he'll be greeted by a 17 year old girl frowning in his direction.]

wow starting early enough that he's preteen

[He does manage to hear... while he's laughing. He comes to a quick landing nearby.]

[Selphie looks up at the boy with a pout on her face. She heard that laughter and opts for light sarcasm before her pout turns into an amused grin.]

Sorry I didn't have time to work on my dramatic falling.

[She doesn't look especially sad, so Aang doesn't feel very guilty. He smiles back, but he still walks over to offer a hand to help her up.]

That's okay! It was still good.

[It was merely a minor annoyance as Selphie grabs his hand and stands up. She can't help but laugh at the comment about her falling down still being good.]

I think I'd give it a 6 out of 10. Maybe six-and-a-half.

[Aang's quick to laugh along.]

[Definitely not an 8.]

An 8 usually involves some kind of falling down a hill in the process of being knocked over.

[She's a regular klutz like that.]

[She's all sunny smiles as she dusts herself off.]

[Selphie smiles softly before turning sideways and pointing at her wings.]

You've got a pair as well, Aang. They a little uncomfortable at first but that goes away in about a day.

Oh, right. The wings. [He points towards hers with a sheepish smile.] So everyone's got them!

[selphie_t]

[She nods as she spots that sheepish smile and pats him on the head.] Yep! Once you get more comfortable with them, you can fold them flat against your back.

So, how were you doing what you were doing when you flew past me?

[He just blinks with the head-patting.]

I was just practicing some airbending. It's lots of fun!

[selphie_t]

[Then it's Selphie's turn to blink but more in confusion than anything else.]

Airbending? Is that some kinda magic? It looked fun! Can anybody learn how to do it?

I guess it's like magic! And... I don't know if anyone could learn how. Everyone I know who's an airbender... I think they were born with it.

[Drat. Selphie pouts a little bit before shrugging it off. If they're born with it, they're born with it and there isn't a thing that she can do about it.

Still, a gal can dream.]

Awww, that sucks! That's like my world. We have to use a creature called a Guardian Force to use magic but still... air-bending looks super fun!

It's the most fun thing in the world! [But he doesn't want to make her feel worse...] But I'm sure your Guardian Force is a lot of fun, too! What's that like?

[Selphie will give you her best cartwheel!]

[SELPHIE HAS MASTERED THE CARTWHEEL. She's quite proud of this feat as its something she's been trying to do since she was a kid. She spins around and beams at Aang.]
