Summary: Well. So sometimes the Malnosso actually do legitimate experiments that aren't heaped in heavy plot. This is one of those times. Look, just go read the mod post, would you?

[He sees the woman out of the corner of his eye as he passes, and then he backs up until the air scooter is stationary right behind Raine, so that he could perch over her shoulder from his perch.]

Ooh, are you making colors?

[That's... also surprisingly childish, but then of course she remembers that not all worlds would be familiar with it. But she smiles at him, after getting over the oddness - his voice is different as well.]

I'm coloring on the paper. The colors are in these crayons, see?

Huh! [He chuckles.] That's neat! It's like a fancy chalk. Can I try?

Something like that. And yes, of course you may. Though - not on these signs. I'll get some spare paper for you.

[He nods and dissipates his air scooter, floating to the ground.]

[wise_maiden]

Hmm... [She doesn't want to lead him to the school - that just might be confusing. Maybe the welcome center would be better - and that even had a nice mural to look at, as well as more colored signs.]

[He follows along with a skip in his step.]

[Oh, good. That saves her from having to ask, even though she already knows. Now she doesn't have to pretend she doesn't. He's just a kid.]

Is that so? I'm Raine. You have quite a lot of energy, don't you?

I guess so! Maybe it's something all of us air nomads have. But you're not an air nomad, are you? It's nice to meet you anyway, Raine!

Then you certainly have more energy than me. How have you been getting along here?

It's a nice place. And lots of the people are friendly or fun to play with. I think I'll have a great time staying around here for a while!

That's a good attitude to take. [Ah, and there's the Welcome Center, though she'll give him a moment to admire the mural outside of it if he wishes.]

... Well, yes, I did contribute to this one, and the one around the fountain area as well. [She sees no reason to lie about that, at any rate.]

Not really - I just indulge in creativity every now and then. It's like a hobby ... [In any case, she moves to open the door.]

It's still a hobby that you're good at. [And he skips on in through that door.]

[The welcome center, in some respects, is mostly the same. The large map is on the wall, beds and blankets are at the ready. The only thing missing, of course, are the vital notes that give any information on what the place actually is.

Still, there is spare paper to be found in one of the file cabinets, which Raine will head to while the young Avatar looks around.]

[Aang skips around for a bit and takes in all the sights while she gets the paper.]

This is a really nice place!

It's very welcoming, isn't it?

[And as she expected, she doesn't find any notes describing the situation around, or even the list of houses and apartments. Hm. She takes up the paper and a few crayons, and turns back toward him.]

Ah, here we go.

It is! It's extra super welcoming! [And he looks on eagerly as she bears the instruments of art.]
