[ ... Oh. Kohan doesn't say anything for a moment, but his gaze does go to Ion's face, watching carefully to see his expression. He's not sure how well Ion's been coping with Luke's departure, since they haven't really brought it up since it happened. ]

What makes something like those sacred?

[Fun as it is, there's nothing that special about it in Isamu's opinion, and there are a great many other rides they could be waiting in line for in the time it's taken them to do this one.]

[Vastra manages a small smile when Loki acknowledges her, and takes it as a sign that it's safe to approach. Which she does, pulling her tokens out of her reticule.]

Not that you need these, but I don't plan on coming back. Interested? [She holds them out. Whether it's a peace offering or Vastra simply being generous with a friend is not quite clear. And she intends to keep it that way.]

[Zuko has found himself dressed as a dragon. It's not some pretty, fancied up dragon costume, mind you. It's basically pajamas with a scale design and a hood that's actually a goofy dragon head. It doesn't have wings, just holes in the back for his own wings to stick through.

Catching site of Aang, he decides that sticking close is the best idea when all these really not healthy looking people are around.]

[Zuko is completely unsympathetic, arms crossed as Sokka stops at another cart.]

[Billy smooths back his hair, feeling desperate, feeling the heartsick and the guilt seep back into him, his heart racing. They'd come so far, they... after all this time, Teddy'd been so different from the uncertain, ever-shifting person he'd been the day they met...

[By all appearances, Ion seemed to be handling it well. It was the same as when Anise and Florian left -- he was sad for a little while, but then just stopped talking about it. Though it's hard to say for sure whether he's actually been able to move on, or if it's just a coping mechanism to deal with the loss.]

[Regardless, he takes the opportunity to turn the conversation around.]

They say that Yulia Jue, the founder of the Order of Lorelei, made a pact with the cheagles and gained their aid long ago. That's why they're considered one of the symbols of the Order. Though I admit I've never looked into the actual details surrounding it myself...

I can't actually sing, though, so don't try and make me imitate what they might sound like.

[Honestly, he should really take her blindness into consideration more. He's trying to help out, but what if he's just insulting her? He doesn't want that.]

[He knows. Teddy knows how far he'd come, how proud Billy had been of him. It's why he didn't want him to see the list, didn't want him to know just how far Teddy had fallen from where he was just a month ago. He could've gotten back up on his own, maybe with some of Billy's help...

Right now, with his powers off, him finding his confidence again seems so far away. He takes in a shuddering breath, tensing from it all and leaning into Billy's hold a little more, needing that touch, craving it since he'd gone so long without it.]

I feel trapped... I want to make myself stop crying and I can't. I want to fix my hair and be smaller and I can't. It's like... It's like feeling your skin stretched as far as it can, but the person doing it isn't letting go. I'm a mess, and I can't fix any of it...

[He shuts his eyes, feeling more tears fall, and he curses himself for it.]

[All of the pet animals here look so cute! Is what Shu would have originally thought if his mind wasn't so preoccupied with Gai. This is the worst shift.]

Is it bad that I'm kissing you here? [Shu might be under a shift, but he's still Shu. He's insecure about the whole thing for one reason or another.]

["Have fun" is what he was going to say before he trails off because Jade is starting to act scary enough to make him nervous, especially with that smile. Dear Yulia, did you hit your head Jade?]

[Teddy holds his hands up, as if he's really being held at gunpoint. That's... not the best attitude to have, but, well... It would be nice to win someone something. And she obviously wants that little doll badly enough.]

Definitely not saying you can't. But maybe I could help you win it?

Some of them, anyway. Sometimes they're just meant to foil you no matter how good you get at it. It's like... You know those claw machines, how there's a sort of science to it? The reason why you don't get the doll a lot of the time is because of the grip of the claw, and how much they polish it. You can't really master that.

[He nods at the duck game they're in front of now.] But I got a pretty good aim because of games like this. [... ... and video games but they don't count.]

[Teddy takes careful aim, taking into account the way they possibly rigged this. And when he shoots, down goes the target, and Teddy can't help giving a half smile, smug even if it's faint.]

[Teddy recognizes that voice, yet he almost doesn't open his eyes enough to talk to her. It's so comfortable here, and it makes him feel a little more like he isn't trapped in the skin he's in. He wouldn't be in here so much if getting out of it didn't make him feel so uncomfortable hour after hour.]

Yeah, maybe. [But despite his words, he does finally look up at her, though he tries not to move as much to do so. It's good to see her; he'd been wondering if she was going okay.]
