Event Log - Malnosso World

Who: Everybody!
What: A field trip for the entirety of Luceti!
When: October 27th, until the end of November 2nd
Where: The Happiest Place on the Moon, Malnosso World!
Summary: So you remember all those times Luceti was transformed into Luceti Land? Welcome to Malnosso World, Luceti Land's bigger, cooler brother. Be sure to keep all hands inside the rides at all times, and refer to your map if you get lost. Trust me, you'll get lost.

I'm sure you'd find something else just as ridiculous to fret over.

[They were at the front of the line now and Simon shot Sam a cheeky grin as he motioned for him to go first.]

I still say it coulda totally be useful for something.

[Reluctantly, Sam climbs into the boat, pressing up against one side of it.]

I'm pretty sure the threat of being turned into the shambling undead is a good reason to fret.

Not here it's not. Not really.

[Simon climbs in beside him and settles easily on the seat, stretching his legs out in front of him.]

Although I suppose this place has it's own collection of strange things.

Well, no. Probably.

[He folds his arms over his chest, peering around as the boat sets off.]

Like theme parks on the moon, yeah?

And one of these things. [Simon motions to the boat they're in with a casual flick of his hand, then lets his arm settle across the back of the seat behind Sam. his fingers brushing the other man's shoulder.]

It's just a boat ride.

[Sam rolls his eyes and settles down on the seat, shifting a little uncomfortably when Simon's arm comes to rest behind him. Although... that little brush against hi shoulder didn't feel half bad.]

Are you kidding me? [Simon's snickering now, tilting his head to glance at Sam out of the corner of his eye.] This is the Malnosso, Sammy. When is anything ever 'just' something simple?

Oh god, you have a point. [He grimaces at the very thought, slouching further down onto the seat.]

What? You're not chickening out on me now, are you? It's a little late for that.

[Simon slings his arm around Sam's shoulders and drags him closer with a good-natured grin.]

I'm not chickening out! Not much of a choice now.

[He grumbles softly when Simon pulls him close but he doesn't pull away.]

Not unless you feel like going for a swim. I wouldn't advise it, though. [He can't help but chuckle at the expression on Sam's face and it's one that's all-too familiar. The exasperated effort Sam has to put into dealing with him on a daily basis, and Simon rolls his eyes a little.]

Relax, Sammy. It's supposed to be fun. Nothing's going to bite you. Not unless you ask nicely.

Ugh, not a chance. I saw a documentary about stuff like this once. Do you have any idea how filthy the water probably is?

[It makes him shudder at just the thought of it.]

Bet you'd love that.

[Simon blinks, his brain trying to switch gears between what comment applied to which.]

Bet I'd love what?

Biting.

[Sam says it, glancing up at him, a slightly odd look on his face.]

Simon blinks then snickers, leaning a little closer. "I suppose that depends. On whether you're asking me nicely or someone else."

Sam swallows, his mouth gone suddenly rather dry and Simon is very very close. "Do you really care if I ask someone?" he says, voice low and curious. "Would you get jealous, I mean, if I asked someone else, like Five maybe."

Simon gives a quiet snort at that, rolling his eyes at that, although he doesn't move away. "Well, that would be pointless now, wouldn't it? Everyone knows Five's your favorite. I'd never stop being jealous if we're pulling Five into this equation."

"How do you know they are?" he asks and he isn't sure what this odd feeling is. It feels right being here, with Simon so close. "My favourite, I mean."

"Sammy," Simon answers patiently, his lips quirking faintly as he gives Sam a knowing look. "Everyone knows Five's your favorite. You haven't exactly made a secret of it."

"I dunno. You're pretty special," he says, and it feels perfectly natural.

"Careful, Sammy," Simon chuckled, carding his fingers through Sam's hair. It was almost a hair-ruffle but not quite. "That almost sounded like a compliment"

"That feels really nice," Sam said, tongue running out over his lips when Simon began to stroke his hair. It wasn't quite like he was used to either, a bit more intimate than having his hair mussed.

"Two compliments in a row?" Simon teased him, humor in his voice as he tugged Sam closer, nuzzling in against his throat, because he was feeling warm and affectionate and lazily relaxed. "My ego may never recover."

He took a sharp breath when Simon pulled him close, his lips and breath warm against his throat. He made a soft noise of encouragement and slid his hands over Simon's shoulders. "I'm sure we can find a way to puncture it soon enough," he teased gently.

"Sammy, one of these days you're going to learn not to set up terrible terrible puns like that," Simon snickered softly, his arm snaking about Sam's waist and drawing him close. He shivered at the slide of Sam's hands, his eyes sliding shut with a groan. "Although I'll be very very sad when you do."
