[Revy jerks herself out of the way and scrambles back to her feet. No sooner is she upright than she charges Ginia again, fists swinging. It's rather sloppy, but say one thing for Revy, she doesn't hold back.]

[It's a vicious fight between two trained combatants with either willing to back down. Ginia defends against the punches, throwing a few punches and kicks back in Revy's direction. She takes as many blows as she deals out, fighting furiously. She doesn't fight clean either, aiming for kneecaps, ankles, throat, ears given the opportunity.

The mistletoe freed them long ago - the initial punches were good enough - but Ginia's a bit too wrapped up in fighting to notice.]

[It's easier to pick off opponents with a well-placed 9mm hole right between the ribs, but in some ways it's more satisfying to lay a fist-filled beatdown. It was why Revy and Roberta had opted to punch out their differences during their first encounter, and it's why Revy continues to slug it out with Ginia. The mistletoe's effects had driven thoughts of the mistletoe itself from Revy's mind, and so there's nothing left but the desire to pummel the other woman into submission. A reason to fight? Just the will itself, nothing more. Violence is Revy's language and she speaks it like gifted orator.

Still, violence is an ugly language. The tussle between the two women is leagues away from a beautifully choreographed wuxia sequence. Revy learned her shit on the streets with survival as her goal. As a result, she too goes for the cheap shots and weak spots, even attempting to jab fingers into Ginia's eyes. She takes about as much damage as she dishes out, eventually sporting a black eye, busted lip, and bruises and scratches elsewhere on her body.]

[With the effects of the mistletoe worn off, Ginia gradually becomes more defensive, choosing more wisely when to strike. Fighting is inelegant, messy, tiresome to Ginia. A clean shot or a quick knife is more her way, though even then she carried a preference for espionage and intelligence gathering over assassinations.

But even if she prefers taking a support role, she can appreciates Revy's violence. She's a brawler, a beast, and there's a role and need for those types in the world and Ginia can respect her. Maybe more, it's a type she can get along with easier than the overly friendly and helpful types of the village. Maybe it's a sign she's been around criminals for too long, or maybe it's a strange taste of home.

Still, this fight needs to end one way and Ginia knows simply backing out at this point isn't an option, never was. Ginia sees her opportunity as she dodges, going for a strike to Revy's back. Even if the wings are covered, if they're as sensitive as they are, a strike to them should be crippling enough.]

[It just so happens that the strike that Ginia dodged was meant to be a feint by Revy, which is an unusually sneaky maneuver for her (she prefers to simply be direct). When Ginia moves around, as planned, Revy moves in and attempts to land a hit on Ginia's back. She isn't thinking about the wings; she's aiming to knock the breath out of Ginia.]

[What happens when an immovable object hits an unstoppable force? Bad things, usually. Just as Revy's punch lands on Ginia's back and wing, Ginia's punch lands on Revy's wing and back.

The pain is agonizing and crippling. Ginia crumples to the ground, curling up as pain radiates from her wing. It's like a spike was driven directly into her bone and goddamn does it hurt.]

Fuuuck!!!

[The world goes white with excruciating agony that -- unfortunately -- is not unfamiliar to Revy. The shock of falling to the floor after such a blow drives a fresh spike of pain into her, as well. It's all Revy can do to keep from throwing up.]

[It takes awhile before Ginia can move again. When she does, she eases herself onto her knees, still a bit too light-headed to get up to her feet. She glances over at Revy and offers a small nod.

Right. Truce?]

[Revy sits up with a grunt and gives Ginia a dead fish stare. Is she asking if they're still gonna slug it out?

...no. Revy doesn't sense the bloodlust from the other woman anymore. They've hit a stalemate and neither of them are in any condition to break it.

Truce, then. They'll settle this later.]

Fine, whatever.

[With an effort, Revy gets to her feet, her breathing still labored. Fuck she needs to figure out a way to protect these stupid wings. Was there such a thing as wing armor? There had to be, if anyone in this world had any fucking brains. She'd have to ask about that. But first she needs a place to just lay down that isn't the floor.

So off she wobbles, heading for the exit. She's gonna sleep this off in her apartment. Assuming she doesn't just pass out from exhaustion on the way.]

[And for her part, Ginia pulls herself onto her feet. She wobbles, her head spins, but she manages to stay upright. With some effort, she'll head toward the clinic, leaning against the wall as needed.
