[Now what? Daria looks up, too, slowly. And as soon as she sees it, she's about as thrilled as Silver. Not that the problem is Silver, to be fair, but the mistletoe is definitely a problem.

[If she had to pick someone, there are plenty worse than Silver. On the other hand, she'd really prefer not to pick anyone. Especially not when it's an obvious setup, and that goes double when the people behind the setup are these Malnosso or whatever.]

We haven't tried yet. I'm not going down without a fight. [Unfortunately, no, she can't even reach it, much less try to get rid of it.]

Yeah...I mean, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind you being my first kiss ever but I'm sure making out with a fifteen-year-old kid's the last thing on your to-do list. [oh crap did he just say that out loud]

[She's got him by two years, but that isn't so much. It'd never work back home, where she'd be going to college and he'd still be in high school, but here that matters less, too.

So that isn't the point. The point is whether she wants to kiss him at all, and the bigger point is the fact this place is apparently going to force her to.]

The problem is with this mistletoe or whatever in the first place.

I'm not trying that until I have something more to go on than just a guess. Even if something weird like that happened before, that doesn't mean this is the same.

[If it's any consolation, she wouldn't try that with anyone unless she was sure she couldn't get out another way. Not even a boyfriend, before they broke up. It just doesn't seem right, forced.

Unfortunately, none of her trying to pull, tug, run, grab at the mistletoe, or anything else seem to work. Which brings her back to looking at Silver.]

[This is hardly romantic, which is ironic because she can practically hear Quinn gushing that mistletoe kisses are romantic (although she thinks even Quinn would agree this current situation is horrific - what if it were someone unpopular?)

What they have is the tiniest peck of a kiss ever. Tell her it worked.]

[Well this is almost more awkward than the kiss itself. It really doesn't feel right to just say see ya, but she's not sure what to do, either.]

Well...I guess you'd better get back to your sister and I should get home to Jeb.

We could do something in a few days, though, I guess.
