Birthday wishes

What: Rin's Birthday
When: Dec. 27th
Where: House 15, in the living room
Summary: Shiemi is throwing Rin a birthday party. She's doing most of the setting up, but Rin was kind enough to cook for his own party. We don't want Shiemi killing anyone.
Rating: PG-13 at most I think.


Plants and heat lamps litter the living space of House 15, but they're all decorated in Christmas style. Baubles and shiny tinsel-like garland hand from bushes that range from fruit bearing to thorny. What might be most notable is that Mistletoe can be found almost everywhere. Shiemi saw people kissing under it a couple times, and despite it being a poisonous plant, if people really liked it that much then it should be at the party! The girl collected a lot of it, so people are bound to run into it! Feel free to get your grub on with Rin's homemade dishes, give out some kisses, or brag about the presents you did or did not get the Son of Satan.

Su--sure. I'm not a good dancer or nothing, but if you want to. [ And he hesitantly makes to try to take her hand. Dancing . . . ]

That's okay. I'm normally not a good dancer either.

[Leading him, she made her moves simple enough for him to keep up.]

[ And he tries to - which he can! Sort of! Barely! Actually, he trips a bit, both on his feet and possibly ends up with his tail in a space for either to trip on. But he tries ]

[She couldn't help but giggle a little. If she was normal, she would be doing the same. Tripping on his tail, she ended up falling towards him.]

Oh! Sorry.

[ He catches her, and ends up holding her a little, so that she can move back a bit ]

It's okay, it's my bad.

[clumsyduck]

[Stepping back.]

Can I ask you something? Why is it that you have a tail.

[She's never asked before, but she's curious.]

[ Well, she was just so honest with him- He tries to get back into a position so they can start to dance again, if she wants. But ]

It's because I'm a half-demon. It grew when I got my powers.

[clumsyduck]

[As she continued to keep her steps simple...]

Half-demon? What powers do you have?

[There's no judgement behind her questions. Rather, she's just interested about him.]

Well, I've always been strong. And I'm fast, too... and I heal fast. [ Which are all stalling points, and he ends up sighing a bit to himself, and feels comforted by her calm ] But the big one is when I draw my sword, I can transform into another form. And I inherited my flames.

[clumsyduck]

That's amazing. We don't have anything like that back home, but what room do I have to talk, right?

[Giggling a little.]

Honestly, not everyone seems to have demons back where they're from... or demons who aren't bad, where they're from.

[ He says this to try to reassure her that she's not being silly. Mostly because she's just - cute and he felt the need to reassure her ]

[clumsyduck]

We all come from different worlds after all.

[If Duck heard you call her "cute", she would flail a lot, but she wouldn't dislike it or anything...]

Mmmhm. A lot of different worlds with a lot of different stuff in them. Like I met an alien, once!

[clumsyduck]

Really? I guess I can't say anything considering who I really am. Besides that, my ballet teacher back home is a cat.

[Who always tries to get her to marry him. Well.. Her and everybody else.]

Hey, you can still say somethin' if you come across-- something. Did you say a cat?

[clumsyduck]

Yeah.... It's... weird even for us.... Not like your normal cat but.... he talks and stuff...

[How can she explain this properly...?]

That... that's really cool! Is he agile?!

Yeah... but he tends to threaten people if we're not doing a well enough job.

[Although it's mostly her. She stopped dancing for a moment to do her best imitation of Mr. Cat.]

'Ms. Duck, I will have you MARRYY MEEE!'

[And going back to normal.]

Or something like that... It's a little weird....

[ W.....what..... That makes him trip up in the dance and then he falters a moment before ]

[ He bursts out laughing! ]

Oh come on, cats don't get married! [AHAHAHA] That's great!

[clumsyduck]

[After seeing his reaction, she starting to laugh along with him.]

Unfortunately, Mr. Cat is pretty obsessed with all things marriage, although no one really goes through it. It's still kind of become the motivation to do better in class.

[He has his quirks, but in the end, Duck does sort of miss him.]

Ehehehe, I bet... [ And he closes his eyes, getting lost in thought with the idea of Kuro wanting to marry someone. That's just ridiculous...]

[clumsyduck]

[And so she starts to dance again, giggling a little.]

I dance much better as Princess Tutu than I do as Duck.
