[ Normally Natalia wouldn't really take notice and if she did might not have moved since she was already sitting down enjoying herself. But the peppermint hot chocolate has made her decide otherwise.

So taking notice of Asbel she decides to stand up and walk over to him. ]

Yeah, it's beautiful out tonight. I'm grateful we have such a gorgeous night for this festival.

I am. I've been here about three weeks.

[ More or less. She hasn't gotten used to Luceti calender yet but at least the number of days in a week is the same. ]

Oh, wow. So this is your first experience with the Shifts here, isn't it?

It is. Though if I must be honest this experience is not what I had expected.

To be honest, most Shifts aren't like this.

Is that so? What are they normally like?

Usually, they mess with our memories or give us weird powers, or change how we look...

We're not expected to simply accept these are we? I don't approve of them at all.

Of course not. I don't think anyone here "accepts" them. [At least, he sure hopes not.]

I certainly hope not. But perhaps I might be correct in that people simply have learned to live with it?

Yeah, that's a good way to look at it. It's just... a part of life here at this point, and until we figure out how to stop them, there's not much we can do but live with it.

I suppose that there isn't much that we could do at this point. Perhaps we should just enjoy ourselves to the fullest instead?
