Summary: Chaos! Madness! Unreasonable happenings! You know the drill. Alternatively: characters wake up and sigh because god, not this again.
Rating: Varied. Anything frisky goes to appointments as per usual, chums.

Due to the size and variation of this event, it's probably best to have several logs for it to avoid one getting overcrowded and broken. Feel free to have your characters post their own entries, of course, if you'd prefer- you're more than welcome! This is for people who like to consolidate. Another log ought to be posted around the 16th for round 2.

[Well. That definitely confirms that this is a mini Billy. Now, fawning can come later - think think think - ]

I couldn't leave you lying there. I thought I'd take you to a safe place while we figure out a way to get back to your parents. I know them - Jeff and Rebecca Kaplan, right? I bet they're worried sick about you.

[...He knew his parents' names. He knew his parents' names. Billy feels a flicker of doubt, and although he's still not ready to come out, he relaxes the tiniest bit, suddenly looking as curious as he is scared.]

My mom and dad... where are they? Are they hurt, are they okay? Did the bad guy attack them too!?

Don't worry. They're safe. [He smiles again, especially now that he sees Billy relaxing a little.] Actually, they asked me to protect you. That's why I'm here.

Mmm...

[He's still not sure, but... this guy does have super powers. And he's not acting like any villain Billy's ever seen. There is one problem, though.]

Who... are you? I know lots of super heroes... but I've never seen you before.

Yeah... [He looks a little sheepish as he rubs at the back of his neck.] I'm kind of a new guy right now... Not many people know about me yet. [Just like how not many people at home know about the Young Avengers, except to ask who the #$*% they are.] But my name is Hulkling. At least, that's my hero name.

["Hulkling", huh... he does kind of resemble the Hulk. Billy scoots an inch or two closer to get a better look at him, his caution fading bit by bit.]

Are you his kid or something? Can you smash like he does?

[Well... he's not sure how easy it'd be to believe that he's the son of Captain Marvel, considering... green and shape-shifter and how potentially unbelievable it'd be to hear that he fell in love with a Skrull.]

Not his kid; I mostly took the name because I can be green like him. I definitely don't have his temper. But I'm also a shape-shifter - a changeling. So, Hulkling.

[And to show off his shape-shifter ability, he shifts again, and Billy will end up face to face with...! Himself.]

Hi.

[Billy yelps and almost falls over at the sbruptness of it - and whoa, watching that shifting again was super weird - but after he recovers, he finally crawls out from under his desk. The guy's a lot less intimidating when he isn't huge and unfamiliar.]

Waaah! You're me! How did you do that!?

[Teddy smiles wide, which looks more like an excited smile on Billy's younger face - it's really good to see him start to calm down a little.]

It's my super power! I just change, and it happens! Pretty cool, huh?

That's the coolest thing I've ever seen in real life...

[Billy can't help but stare, wide-eyed and awestruck. He reaches out, giving his duplicated an experimental pat on the cheek. With his other hand he pats his own, marveling.]

It even feels like me! Is that really your face?

[Heh. Teddy feels a swell of pride at that, and it's pretty rare for him to feel that way over his own power.]

Yup! No illusions or anything.

[When Billy's done patting his cheeks, Teddy hooks his fingers around the corners of his lips and tugs outward, his speech becoming slurred as a result.]

Sthee? Ah' real!

...That's sooooo cool.

[Okay, it's official. Teddy has won him over, and the weirdness of the morning has been forgiven.]

What else can you turn into?

Anything. What do you want me to change into?

[And, for once, he doesn't feel a dip in self-confidence or anything upon asking that question.]

[Billy thinks carefully for a moment. There's a whole list of people he could think of - real heroes, famous people, storybook characters - and the prospect of seeing them all face to face is pretty tempting.

First, though, there's something he knows he has to do. His parents would scold him if he didn't.]

...Can you be the real you again?

[... Ha. Wow. Even as a kid, Billy... No wonder he's the way he is when they met, and even to this day.

Teddy's silent for a moment as a result. Then he smiles again, happy for the request.]

... Okay.

[He sits back down so that he won't be as tall, then shifts back to himself. Not another Billy, not Hulkling, but Teddy. Just Teddy.]

This is the real me. My name's Teddy Altman.

[Billy nods to himself, as if approving his own decision - or Teddy's, to go along with it. Somehow just hearing his real name is the most calming act of all.

Without another moment of hesitation, he offers his hand out.]

Mom says you should know somebody before you ask them for something, unless you really need help. And they can ask you for something too. It's not selfish that way, right?

[He nods again, very serious.]

I'm Billy. But you knew that, huh.

[Teddy takes Billy's smaller hand in his own, finally allowing himself to inwardly fawn over this younger form of his boyfriend. He is so, so cute. Pictures don't quite cover it; look at him going from fanboy to serious and quoting from his mom! He kind of wishes he could take a video on his starkphone without Billy getting suspicious. It's just too cute.]

Yeah, I knew. But it's nice to meet you again.

[When he lets go of his hand, he rocks back on his heels, arms resting on his knees and a grin on his face.]

So. Anyone you want me to change into?

[Billy fidgets, torn for a moment. He wants to. He really, really wants to. But it's a little rude...

...but Teddy just offered...

...but...]

...U... um... can you...

[He fidgets once more, then leans in close, his voice going very soft.]

...can you turn into Thor?

[Pffffft what a norse nerd.]

I can do that.

[And he has to keep in mind that the Thor in their world doesn't have facial hair, while the one here seems to prefer it. So he shifts, his hair growing longer and his clothes changing right along with him to turn into the outfit they all know and love. And no facial hair.

When he's done, he tilts his head to smile again.]

Friend Billy.

[Billy inhales sharply, then sets free a muffled shriek and leans in even more. Omigodomigodomigooooood]

You did it! You did it!! You're the coolest!

[Teddy lets out some laughter himself, and - wow, that's some really deep laughter there. He'd almost forgotten what it was like to shift into Thor. Last time was... not so great, but this? This is something positive, not for attention but just to make someone - a child - happy, and so he enjoys it.]

No, no. The real Thor is the coolest.

[Yeah, he's Thor right now, but he won't change his speech pattern to get fully into the part. He's still Teddy, after all, not really Thor. And that's what he should've done in the past, too.

He leans in, as if he's about to whisper something conspiratory with Billy.]

Wanna ride on my shoulders?

[Billy's eyes go wide as saucers for that, comically. He hadn't expected that.]

Can I!? You don't mind?

Not at all. I'm pretty sure I can hold up your weight.

[He bends a little lower, arms out and ready to help Billy up and onto his shoulders, should he accept the offer.]

I dunno. Daddy says I'm getting heavy.

[Still, he looks pleased, and he stands up and offers his arms out to let Teddy lift him. Being carried by Thor? Kind of? So cool.]

[Once Billy's in position, Teddy stands as he puts his hands under the kid's arms, then - pauses, as if Billy really is too heavy.]

Ugh, yeah, you're...

[And then he lifts him up easily, turning him in the air so that he can sit on his broad shoulders.]

Totally light. Super strength?
