Summary: Chaos! Madness! Unreasonable happenings! You know the drill. Alternatively: characters wake up and sigh because god, not this again.
Rating: Varied. Anything frisky goes to appointments as per usual, chums.


Due to the size and variation of this event, it's probably best to have several logs for it to avoid one getting overcrowded and broken. Feel free to have your characters post their own entries, of course, if you'd prefer- you're more than welcome! This is for people who like to consolidate. Another log ought to be posted around the 16th for round 2.

[He had found his companions quickly enough, and had been guiding to finding his clothing and equipment, far more convenient than those that he had awoken in. He felt naked without his axes, and for all the peace that seemed to hold sway in this place, he didn't trust it. He was a warrior, for all that he had been bound for other things. He's fought hard to earn his position and forsaking it now drags up every bit of stubborn pride that he has.

There is one bit of news though that gives him pause. Iofast had told him, in that storyteller's way that he had, but this had been true. He wouldn't tell tales about this.

Loki.

Loki the betrayer, the deceiver. An enemy of Asgard.

Loki who had perhaps understood better than anyone, that conflict between siblings, never quite being able to live up to that golden child. They'd been friends once.

He finds him in the stable, predictable. He has always had a fondness for horses.]

Iofast said that you might be here.

[complicatedliar]

[Loki felt the man approach, and feels relieved he is apparently unarmed. He's not in the mood for a fight right now.

So he smiles instead.]

Even a broken clock is right twice daily.

[He doesn't like being unarmed, but this strange realm seemed to be peaceful and he had not come to antagonise Loki unnecessarily. How much was necessary, well, that remained to be seen.]

Not by any intention of the clock. Iofast knows more than people believe.

It doesn't require much creativity to know I might prefer horses to people. Only the hope that I've changed little at all.

You may borrow a horse, if you like.

[voiceinthedark]

You prefer most things to having straight conversations with people at least.

I'm not here to go riding, Loki.

[complicatedliar]

The horses will be very disappointed, Soma. [He smiles.] What, then? Have you any questions you wish to ask about the afterlife?

[voiceinthedark]

I'm sure some sugar will placate them.

[The smile does not make his disposition any kinder.]

You make light of it. We thought you were dead, Loki!

[complicatedliar]

You'll make the poor things fat, you beast.

[That only makes him smile more, really.]

Which time? For the first time I survived, even though I should not. The second, I was not nearly so lucky. But I do make a pretty and convenient corpse, I'm sure.

[voiceinthedark]

[That earns a small smile from the warrior.]

You wouldn't allow that to happen.

And yet here you are. And for all else that happened, you were our companion.

[complicatedliar]

'tis true. But I'd have to work my volunteers so much harder exercising the beasts. Would you have me be a slavedriver for your sake, Soma? [He grins.]

Here I am, though I know not how. 'tis most annoying, that. [One eyebrow tilts up.] Indeed, I was. But what meaning shall the past have?

You would hardly employ assistants who didn't care for the beasts as much as you.

You're the one who threw that aside.

[Not that Soma is bitter. Of course not.]

[complicatedliar]

[This is really only making him feel more defensive, though he is far too controlled to show it as more of a narrowing of the eyes.]

And as I gaze at your cheerful countenance, I can't for the life of me remember why. I know I was always your favorite, Soma. [HAHAHAHA not.] No need to be bitter at me. 'twas not I who made up the lie that was the second prince of Asgard.
