Summary: Chaos! Madness! Unreasonable happenings! You know the drill. Alternatively: characters wake up and sigh because god, not this again.
Rating: Varied. Anything frisky goes to appointments as per usual, chums.


Due to the size and variation of this event, it's probably best to have several logs for it to avoid one getting overcrowded and broken. Feel free to have your characters post their own entries, of course, if you'd prefer- you're more than welcome! This is for people who like to consolidate. Another log ought to be posted around the 16th for round 2.

I am! ... You're very smart, to know that. [She smiles happily at him.] You must be very clever.

Mm... not really.

[Billy shuffles his feet, finally tearing his eyes off her hands. His expression looks like a mix between pleased and uncertain now.]

Most kids with powers are mutants, and you don't look old.

[Aww, what a sweet little boy he is. She can't stop smiling. This is kind of dangerous. If this is what Billy was like as a kid, then SHE KIND OF WANTS TO HAVE A BILLY HERSELF. Her other self is so lucky.]

...see? Smart. I wouldn't have figured that out.

[She uses a finger to boop his nose, gently.]

Don't ever let anyone tell you you're not.

[He lifts a hand to touch his nose where she'd tapped it.]

I know 'm smart about some stuff. Mom says I was reading before my whole class, that's pretty good! But the mutant thing is stuff everybody knows about.

Well then... you're smart in comparison to me, then. [Wanda feels very open with this Bitty Billy boy. ]

I wouldn't have figured out the mutant thing. And. I don't know how to read. ... Maybe you should be helping me!

[It's not the sort of thing she would usually admit to, but she's offering up this bit of personal information in hopes that it will help her bond with this younger version of Billy.]

[His eyes go wide as saucers at that, and he looks vaguely horrified.]

You can't read? That's horrible! You should go to school right now!

[He can't imagine life without books. Books are great! There's endless stories, and so many of them are amazing!]

[Ouch, a little on the head there, kiddo. Not that he's not right!]

I am going to school. ...I just started this year! There's a very nice lady, there, who's helping me a lot.

[babyhands]

[He nods approvingly at that.]

That's good. I was at the school yesterday. There's lots of books, so I'm sure you'll be really good at reading real soon! And I can help too, if you want.

Yeah...? What's your favourite book? [Colour her currious.]

The Hobbit! It has a wizard and trolls and dwarves and a dragon and magic in it, it's so cool! Daddy's been reading it to me almost every day before bed, and we're almost done!

[So begins his descent into the Lord of the Rings fandom, from which he will never return.]

... I haven't read that one. It sounds amazing though. I love things with magic in them. It's so nice of your father to read to you... that sounds so nice. [She sort of wishes that her father would do that with her. But. He's understandably otherwise occupied.]

He's a really good reader, too. He's a doctor, so he reads a lot of big books.

[maximoff_girl]

A doctor... wow. Doctors are good people, so smart and always trying to save people. My father's not a doctor, but he tries to help people too. Father's are really great, like that.

[babyhands]

Uh-huh! They are, they're the best. Daddy's a heart doctor, so when something breaks in here- [He taps his chest-] He can fix it.

[maximoff_girl]

That's so sweet! ... He must have saved so many people. [She has to assume that the father in question is not her maybe-future-husband-who-dies, since he and Tommy were stolen as infants. But she kind of wishes this WAS her future husband; he sounds great.]

What do you want to do when you grow up?

Billy makes a face at that, though.]

I don't want to grow up! Not for a long time.

[Wanda claps her hands together in delight.]

That's the best answer I've ever heard to that question! Yes! [She wishes she had thought of it.]

[His eyes widen at that, and he smiles, nodding enthusiastically. He'd kind of forgotten with all the magic talk.]

Yeah! And then Daddy can find me.
