Who: Red, Red's pokémon, and everyone that got invited which is anybody Red knows. ANYBODY.. also dude if you just wanna wander on in because food and people and a soothing flower smell go right ahead. Also it's Helios (

folklorist) and Saori's (

windandrain) castle place.
What: CAKE. please mingle. i guess. or talk about cake.
When: April 24th (divine backdating)
Where: House #44 which is actually a 4 story tower. Cool beans.
Summary: Helios said about hey why not invite people to celebrate Venusaur's evolution with cake. And so Red did. All he did was invite people.
Rating: C for cake (unlikely to be anything beyond U??)

[ Red hadn't exactly meant to invite all the people he did to House #44 for cake like he did. Actually, he wasn't going to invite anyone at all for it when Helios first suggested doing so. But there was talking here and there on the journal, and so he thought - why not. It's cake!

Except going on to invite people and also trainers which came with their own pokémon, well. That was a lot of mouths. Thankfully, Red had waited until giving them the address of where to end up, allowing him and Helios more time to prepare. Red helped Helios with the cakes where he could, and also brought in goodies from the store to help out as well.

So not only will there be delicious desserts, there will be seasonal fruits! Like apples! All mixed up on a bowl with the apples sliced up into their own separate one because really, who doesn't end up with a bunch of apples.

Also there are sandwiches. Sandwiches such as ~~TUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNAAAA~~* sandwiches, and other lesser varieties. Really, just imagine sandwiches. Does this help? How about this. The sandwiches are simply made, though the tuna selection is the biggest. (TUNNNNNNNAAAAAAA)

As for the actual cakes, did you know Helios is a cake dispenser? Look at this selection of CAKES. Helios is the end boss of Luceti and his weapon is cake. Also cake.

While there was plenty of room on the inside for all of this and the people (and maybe the inside was open as well to people as well), everything was, for the most part, presented outside with the pokémon in mind. Red had big pokémon, and Red also knew that some of the other trainers also had big pokémon. And Venusaur loved sunlight, so why keep her out of it for what was put together for her?

The sandwiches are just... sandwiches (as in, Red put them together), and the fruit is just fruit, but the cake themselves are made by a food lover. Is this the first time you're getting to try cheesecake and pavlova? Don't worry- even if you don't like it, there's always a Snorlax close by...

For those coming onto the scene, a sweet scent will be in the air, soothing to any that smell/breathe it in ~~and lowering their evasion~~. Have a swell time. ]

( Red would have sent out a message to everyone he said he would and then some more. He will also happily meet with anyone that arrives. Also, try the cake. Each of it. Please give your character's deep deep thoughts about cake here and how it reflects on them as a character.

Snorlax will also be moving around, for the most part having Red's eye on him, and also for the most part somewhat being behaved... but also. Food. Your character may feel a pair of eyes upon them when they eat... always.... )

* NO MORE TUNA SANDWICHES.

AND IT WASN'T EVEN SNORLAX'S FAULT.

[True fact; being thirty-seven years old does not mean you squee any less when cute animals are involved. In fact, as much as Ginia loves cake, it's the chance to see pokemon that brings her out. She brings company too as Laika tags along. She's an obedient dog, but Laika keeps her on a leash just be on the safe side.

Arriving at the castle-house (impressive), it's not hard spotting Red... or Snorlax, or Venusaur. Wow. She'll stare a bit before coming over to say hi.]

[ With Pikachu and Venusaur facing the way that most people were arriving, they both saw Ginia and Laika's arrival, though neither of them were familiar with the woman. Pikachu was sat against the side of Venusaur's head, munching away at a rich tea biscuit that Red had grabbed in his "grab a bunch of everything just in case" journey around the food shops, while Red himself...

...was with Snorlax, who was munching on a sliced half of a whole baguette. It wouldn't be impossible to miss his words of ] Eaaaat. Sloooowly. [ to the giant pokémon, who did indeed eat what was already in his mouth very slowly! Before shoving the rest of what he had straight in, getting sticky jam all over his mouth and fingers (like he already hadn't). ] That's not eating slowly, Snorlax!!

[ SNORLAX. WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO WITH THEM. Finally, Pikachu decides to alert Red of the new guest, hopping right up onto Venusaur's flower and waving a paw (with the other still holding his food). Pwwiiaaakkk! Yeah, you call with your mouth full, Pikachu.

But it gets Red's attention. He looks away from Snorlax (already picking up his next baguette half), and it takes him a second to realise who it is - who they are! And really, what 10-11 year olds named Red doesn't like the sight of animals?

He gives Snorlax one more warning about his eating ("Slowly, okay?!") before leaving the pokémon to his eating, a smile still wide upon his face. ]

Hi!! It's Ginia, right? Ginn-nee-ah. [ He's saying the name, hoping to get it right. ] And Liiiee-kah?

[Ginia waves and nods at Red; A++ on pronunciation. Laika takes a few careful sniffs toward the pokemon before padding back to Ginia's side and taking a seat. Her tail wags happily as she looks at Red.

Ginia quickly takes her cellphone out and types up a message, turning the screen so Red can read.]

Yes, that's correct. Hello, Red. Your pokemon are absolutely amazing.

[ He peers at the message - at least she had a way of communicating - and grins with a nod at that. ]

They are, aren't they? Want me to introduce you both to them?!

[ Did he do that earlier? But he didn't do it in person, so it's totally different. Also, that wasn't a real question, made obvious when Red turns right after asking it and takes a step to face his pokémon. ]

Pikachu, Venusaur, Snorlax! This is Ginia and Laika! [ He motions back to both of them, then takes another step, over to Venusaur's side, to allow Ginia and Laika the room to approach his pokémon. ]

Laika, this is Venusaur, and Pikachu! And that's Snorlax! [ Venusaur gives a nod of her head in greeting, while Pikachu's own is a(nother) full-mouth chirp. But Pikachu hops on down after it, snapping a part piece of his biscuit to hold out for Laika, should she want to come sniffing again.

As for Snorlax, he's with them, but a little behind Venusaur to allow for him to eat with his small pile of food. He makes a sound, but he's much too focused on the food - whether the sound was actually for the two is dubious, when he continues to make them. Om nom nom nom.. ]

[Ginia follows, loosening her hold on Laika's leash to give her a chance to sniff each Pokemon. The dog approaches carefully, sniffing each Pokemon in turn, tail slowly returning to a wag as she meets each one. When Pikachu offers a biscuit, Laika looks up at Ginia. Ginia nods and pats her dog on the head and Laika reaches out and carefully takes the biscuit. Nom, nom, nom.

Ginia looks at each one in turn, quite amazed at how large they are. Pictures over a journal really don't do them justice. It's also remarkable kids have them as companions. Amazing how other worlds work. She smiles at Red and quickly types out a message.]

Thank you for the introductions. I'm really amazed at how large they yet they seem so gentle.

[ Pikachu lets Laika take it from his hand, letting go once it's in her mouth and continuing to nibble away at what's left with him. Red is more than pleased to see Pikachu being more than welcoming and as well Ginia's impressed response. ]

People can be the same, can't they? Saur's the most gentlest pokémon you'll ever meet, no matter what her size. [ That deserves a wide smile to the pokémon. ]

But they're tough too. [ Ah! ] Oh! But you both came for cake, right? Helios ended up making a bunch of it!

[ And should she not have anything to add in before that, Red will happily be leading them over to the food table that sits outside as well with the chairs and all. Clearly, very obviously, it's an outdoor party. ]

[Ginia gives Laika a pat on the head before removing her leash. She seems at ease around the Pokemon and they don't seem bothered by her, so it seems safe enough to leave her here.

With nothing else to add, Ginia is content to follow Red. She's not sure how long she'll stay for the party, but hey, one can't go to a party and not enjoy some cake. It's certainly and impressive spread of food, the cakes especially.]

It all looks delicious. Any suggestions on where to begin?

[ Oh no, picking food... that makes Red's brow furrow, looking at each bit there and here... ]

Mmm... [ thinking, thinking... ] Well, since you came for cake, you should have a slice of all of them!

[ He'll pick her up a plate, then look at her. ] Do you want to try them all?

[ He'll do it. He'll so cut her a slice of each!! ]

I'd love to try all of them. Small slices though, that's a lot of cake.

[That is a lot of cake. Delicious, delicious, wonderful cake. Never too old to have a sweet tooth and never too old to enjoy cake.]

[ He chuckles through a tooth-filled grin, then grabs the knife accompanying each cake as he makes his way through cutting them -- all, of course, with conversation mingled in! ]

Have you ever tried cakes like these? I've never had so much cake. I've had some, but never stuff like cheesecake or pavlova... or whatever all the rest are! Or all these different berries too! Oh yeah, can dogs eat cakes? Do they like fruit? I can make up a plate for Laika if she wants!

[ ...and after saying all that, it takes him a second to remember, oh yeah - better pause cake slicing and serving to look at Ginia to check for any responses. ]

[Ginia's used to people forgetting to look and it's never anything she minds unless they're doing it on purpose to ignore her. She smiles and takes a moment to type out her answers, keeping things brief.]

I have, or at least variations of. Cake is bad for dogs, but fruit is fine. I'll get her some fruit.

[Ginia gives Red a chance to read her message before she grabs a plate and begins loading up some sliced apples and berries.

[ That was a good note to keep in the back of his mind. He nods with a ] Okay! [ Before making his way through the different cakes - which does take him a little longer than gathering fruit would, with the slicing and different placements of the sweet foods.

But once he's done, he holds out the plate for her to take, though waiting if she's busy with Laika. ]

Here you go! Thanks for coming. I don't know if it's weird to invite people out of the blue like that to eat cake...

[ There's a little embarrassing to that, which he hides within a silly laugh. ]

[Ginia finishes preparing a fruit plate for Laika and brings it over to her dog, first whistling for her dog to sit down, then setting the plate down and whistling again for her dog to eat. When she meets up again with Red, she takes the cake plate (mm, delicious, delicious cake).]

I don't think so. It's a fun occasion and who doesn't like cake?
