Who: Brave Vesperia members and any friends they would have invited (although, just about anyone could sneak into this and probably not be noticed)
What: Beach party!
When: Afternoon of August 23rd.
Where: A remote space station The beach |:
Summary: BV takes a small vacation from work and has a beach party to relax and take advantage of the current heatwave.
Rating: Gonna slap a PG-13 on here and hope it doesn't go beyond that.

So, after another long day of building, Sokka had approached Yuri and gave him this beach party idea. Yuri was at that point so worn out he just lazily agreed to it and wandered on home. Thankfully for the rest of the guild, instead of later deciding it was stupid and retracting his yes, he sent out the message that they were going to the beach to take a break from everything, and to bring food and friends with them if they felt like it.

Better yet, this particular day happens to be during a heatwave. Even more reason to take a break from building!

[Now this is nice, gorgeous weather for taking a nap on the beach. Raven is even dressed for the occassion. You guys can do guild business, kick sand on his face, do whatever, this is sleepy sunbathing time.]

[This kid isn't even IN the guild yet. He's just here, because Sokka asked him to check it out. He's wearing something else more fitting than his usual fire nation robe attire and just hanging around the shore for now.

He may as well get to know everyone else, show off his bending. At some point someone brought an inflatable ball and he was playing a game of keeping it in the air. He ends up sending it a little too far off course and it'll end up landing on top of Raven. Whoops]

[Yuri's not really the "go play in the water" type, even if he'll most likely go in eventually. But for now, he's just gonna lay in the shade and chillax. He's also dressed for this whole thing, but ...

... feel free to assume he's colorblind or that his housemates are terrible people who didn't feel like telling him he's not a fashionista. At least he'll look a lot better when he takes that horrible shirt off to go in the water later but until then, deal with his bad fashion sense, kids.]

[Asbel too has come to the beach for the meetingparty, dressed for the affair, but he doesn't really plan on lazing around, even though it seems like everyone else is.]

[DUN DUN DUN IT'S A LANDSHARK no it's just Emil. And he'll be adding to Yuri's shade by peering over him like this because he can't understand why Yuri isn't doing anything. They're at the beach, man! It's time to go swimming and play volleyball and things like that.

He may also be a little excited about this whole party.]

[Luke himself is in red swimming trunks with gold designs lacing through it, you'd think it was just the fanciest pair of swimming trunks or something and no one's uploaded a good picture so just picture it. Looking at the ocean is just fine, but actually getting into it? Hahahahaha no.

... Seeing Yuri almost makes him want to go, though. Instead, he just stares for a long moment before he steps over to him.]

[Rei isn't even really sure why she's here. All she knows is that she was asked to come to the beach as a member of Brave Vesperia, and it would be rude not to come. She wasn't told why, and wasn't given a whole lot of information. Just...told to turn up. So, here she is, wearing her usual red and white haori. Have an awkward looking miko, standing on the edge of the party. She doesn't know anyone else here, after all...so talk to her maybe?]

[As Yuri's been mostly been keeping to himself on the sidelines, it's hard for him to not notice someone standing awkwardly just outside of the gathering itself. She doesn't exactly look dressed to go jump in the ocean or anything, so Yuri's figuring she's either lost or maybe - just maybe - that new recruit Zack had picked up. He did mention it was a girl ...

So, hey Rei. After spending a moment trying to figure out if he's seen you before or not, Yuri will be heading your way.]

[ Lightning usually wouldn't be compelled to comment, but when she catches sight of Rei and her notably out of place attire a short distance away, she can't help but eye the younger woman instead, attention diverted from trying to decide if she wants to walk over to see what's at the refreshment table or not. ]

[Estelle too has found a spot in the shade of a tree. There she is kneeling on a towel, quietly reading a book that she checked out from the library. Like most everyone else she is dressed for the occasion. She's feeling a little shy after the recent blastia disaster, but she's still very approachable.]

[ Reading on the beach? That catches his attention, if only just. Since Jin is also trying to find some shade he figures he'll say... something.

[Ran Fan is never dressed correctly for anything because she's still wearing her uniform. And it's awkward, and she feels awkward, so once Ran Fan spots Estelle, she lands beside her. What's walking up to a person normally.]

[ Mostly thanks to Zack, Lightning's made an appearance at this little gathering, even if she's generally one to enjoy the beach in the evening instead. But, while she might not be the most social, she did dress the part at least(!), wearing a blue and black swimsuit that... okay, honestly kind of clashes with her hair and red/white wings, but the skimping on cleavage there is definitely intentional. Covering the Brand on her chest around people she's not familiar with is more important... but otherwise, yeah, she's left a whole lot of that pale skin of hers exposed--

And free to the danger of burning under the extra-hot sun today, of course, which would be why she's so busy frowning as she applies even more sunblock to those long limbs of hers-- from a giant family sized bottle with a pump and everything.

Hopefully none of you guys forgot this important little step too, right? She may just say something if she notices people starting to resemble cooked lobsters. 8| ]

[Well. If ever there was an excuse to ditch work, sunscreen application on a beautiful babe (whom he happens to be dating) is definitely one of them. He saunters over to where she's sitting, laying out his beach towel and flopping down beside her.]

[Any non-guild people coming to this are very noticeable to Yuri, but Lightning especially is, given she came with Zack. Was she his girlfriend or something? He's pretty sure he's seen her around him before, maybe. She seemed really serious, though, so he wasn't sure if strolling up and bluntly asking something like that would end very well. Especially if he was wrong.

But, well, he might as well say something to her, instead of just staring and wondering. So, he'll just go ahead and walk over to where she is.]

... You're a friend of Zack's, I take it? [That might've sounded a little awkward. He's not used to making small talk with people without a good reason for it.]

[ Jin wasn't invited to the party but, know what? He's crashing it anyway. Unintentionally. He mostly just used the teleporter to look at the beach which... yeah. Led to a party. For the most part, he's going to stand a ways away from the party. Carry on with your business, or something!! ]

[Yuri is looking around fairly often to make sure no weird people come wandering on into this whole thing and mooch off their food and booze. So, seeing some familiar blond guy wandering into this whole thing gets his attention quick.

[You other guys suck. Sokka is dressed for the occasion with just a pair of dark blue trunks on. He needs no extra shirt. Right now he still has his hair up in a wolf tail, but that may change if he goes into the water. Things to notice? Well his right side, from front to back, has an obvious scar where he was bitten by a Shift Hunter. Yeah. Ouch.

For his part, Sokka isn't getting into the water YET. Because food is just way more interesting. What he did bring was grilled fish, freshly caught by yours truly. But mostly he's just checking out to see if there's anything ELSE edible to eat too.]

BOOZE CART

[What's a good beach party without proper refreshments? (Besides a thirsty one, that is.) To cover this need, Zack has brought along a cart from Good Spirits, fully stocked with all the classic alcohols, flavours, as well as some non-alcoholic specials. He'll be leaving it at leasy partially self-serve, since he's eager to join the party himself instead of sitting at a bar and watching everyone else have fun, but he'll be around once in a while to watch the cart and be available to serve on demand, too. ...If he feels like it.

Oh, and he's also showing off his handsome self in a pair of fabulous swimming trunks, yeaaaaah.]

[Oh. Booze. That is quite an impression selection you have there, sir. Don't mind Jack just sort of staring at it because he's never even seen some of those things before, but they look pretty tasty.]

[Cue one Estelle hovering over the Booze Cart. She's already partaken in some of the food, but this caught her attention as well. She's there, hovering over it with a finger on her chin in thought. Estelle isn't exactly well versed in alcohol, so she probably doesn't know that most of the stuff there is, actually, alcoholic. But color her curious.]

[Zack you are a god send. Not that Yuri's a booze hound of any sort, but having a drink in this area with this weather just sounded good right about now. So, he'll just go on ahead and walk over with his usual smirk.]
