[Kurt is among those waking up in the dead of the night and initially takes to the fight in his pajamas before switching to his X-uniform.

As the fighting ensues, he'll try to stick near his teammates but you know how these things go. Separation is inevitable. Kurt tries to take the enemies down in as nonlethal ways as possible, armed with a scanner to do so. He's been taught some strategies for fighting the Cultists by Logan, but he may end up needing rescue from Shifters at several points. But otherwise, his teleporting makes him quite the handyman for helping others with their individual distresses, especially since he has one of Raine's radio communicators. Call in if you want a rescue!

But he'll experience specific actions depending on the day. On Days 2 and 3, he primarily fights normally. In the battle against the air ships, he may take to flying one of the jets using his experience with the X-Jet. But if anyone need a hand getting into an airship, he could be the one to teleport them there. However, all of his up-close tangles with the Cultists slowly take their toll on Kurt. Nothing too serious at first, but he gets a collection of cuts and minor injuries. And his right arm in particular is nearly broken at one point. Still, he insists on doing what he can and tries to stick to escorting others away from danger. His tail is as good an extra hand as any, after all.

On the fourth day (locked to Storm), he makes the mistake of teleporting into a Dream Shifter's range while en route to rendezvous with his teammates. She'll find herself in a world that has a very familiar resemblance to the stately Xavier estate. Kurt is rescued but remains out of commission for the rest of the day.

He manages to slip back into action for the last two days, with his injured arm bound. He'll once more try to stick to rescues and less direct methods of combating the enemy - but he's not ready to let his team down, at all.]

Day 2

[Hello, Kurt. Were you expecting to see a seven-foot freakish blade-covered monstrosity on one of the airships, tearing through the cultists like a food processor?

She doesn't seem particularly interested in leaving her opponents alive, for that matter.]

Day 2

[He was not expecting this at all; he didn't see anything like this among their forces, and he definitely wasn't briefed anything like this.

He had only hesitantly teleported onto the airship because he thought it would be like reconnaissance. But with the way this creature was tearing through enemies, he had a newfound concerns. He waved his hands and tried to get her attention - to see if she was anything that could be reasoned with.]

Hey, hold on there!

[Give her a minute, she just needs to- ah, there we go. Right through the spinal column. Should be pretty quick and painless.

The last cultist falls to the ground, and the creature turns toward Kurt.

And a voice speaks in his head. One he might remember from a couple months ago, in fact.]

-What's your issue?-

[It's a very familiar voice. He tries to answer, but the words stop in his throat as it's hard to stop recalling the act of violence he just witnessed. And then he speaks a little more quietly and confusedly.]

Day Two

[She's been fighting since the alarm went off in the early hours of the morning, although she had slipped back to the barracks to change and restock her arrow supply sometime after the sun came up. She'd been intending to slip back again, grab some food and water, maybe a short snatch of rest, but she'd no sooner hopped down from her perch on a partially collapsed roof than Cultists had poured down the street towards her again.

There'd been no time to do anything but react. She'd taken down the first wave of them in a few volley of arrows, but they kept coming and fighting ranged wasn't an option when they were quickly surrounding her. No amount of acrobatics could keep her out of the reach of all of them and she'd settled into a deadly rhythm of attacks and defenses she knew she couldn't keep up for much longer, relying on her bow as a blunt object when she had the space.

They had her surrounded. Her mind raced for a plan, because she was running out of both time and energy.]

Day Two

[Kurt manages to spot her in this jam while returning from another scuffle and quickly teleports over to her side.]

Excuse me miss, but you seem to be in need of a lift. [And he offers his arm.] May I?

[She'd never been so happy to see anyone.

Artemis knocks one more Cultists away that had been a little too close for comfort, using her bow as a club before reaching out and latching onto Kurt’s arm with a grin.]

Handy timing there, Fuzzball.

Day Two

Hey. timing's an important part in this whole hero business. [He says mock-scoldingly while she grabs his arm.] Now hang on tight!

[And so they bamf. But because of being unfamiliar with the area plus the danger of bamfing into a shifter's range, he's trying to keep it short-range. The first jump takes them past most of the Cultists, although there's still some nearby.]

Day 4

[Ororo had been worried when Kurt did not make it to the rendezvous point at the appointed time. He was a bright and easygoing soul, yes, but even he knew when to take things like schedules seriously.

Since she could get around the fastest, she's the one who goes looking. Fortunately, she doesn't have to look too far. Unfortunately, she recognizes the reason he was running late once she finds him. She'd dealt with this particular enemy only yesterday, with Logan, and it had been a trying experience. For Kurt to have encountered the same kind of enemy alarms her, so she wastes no time in steeling her heart and stepping through the barrier and into his dream.]

The sight should be all too familiar; it's the main path leading up the mansion, after all, just as it was before that time it exploded. And there's a familiar sound too, not far off in the distance. The sound of a skateboard skidding along near the entrance. It is being ridden, of course, by certain spiky bone-powered teen who is notably devoid of any armadillo-like armor at the moment.

She'd tried to prepare herself, in the seconds between seeing Kurt trapped in the strange barrier and stepping inside. It didn't do for much - the sight of the mansion still took her by surprise. And the sight of her nephew as he was before... before, had her stop in her tracks, thoughts of Kurt in danger nearly forgotten.

"Evan...?"

Evan's reaction was a delayed one - and not until she drew closer. He looked towards her with mild confusion, coming to a halt on the skateboard, glancing from her towards the door of the mansion.

"Auntie O? I thought you were inside already... Kurt's inside."

Day 3

[Those airships were getting pretty annoying there. But, these cultists on the ground were no better either. He's already been surrounded by a group of cultists. They come at him with swords and knives and it's all he can do to keep up with them and avoid getting stabbed, grabbing them and throwing them at more cultists that surrounded him.]

Why. Won't. You. Stay. Down!

[Cross was starting to become overwhelmed at this point, as evident as knife had just been stabbed into his arm. Thankfully it's the metal one.]

Day 3

[And Kurt soon bamfs over closer to the ally who's being surrounded by Cultists.]

You look like you could use a hand. [And then he catches sight of the knife in his arm, and his eyes widen.] Uh...

Yup, I really could!

[Cue him throwing another cultist into another one as he yanks out the knife sticking in his metal arm. He looks to Kurt. Whoa. Blue guy.

Okay, wait, don't get distracted. Questions on this guy's blue and furriness comes later.]

Any ideas on taking out ten crazy cultists?

Day 3

[He could question that arm thing too. But he does already know someone who can turn his own skin into metal.]

How about some division? [He pulls out a taser, ready for combat.]

[There is a quiet moment, sometime on the fifth day before someone rallies her to a mission to do things with generators, when she finds Kurt almost by chance and has to hold herself back from peppering him with questions.

Mostly that's because they're in the middle of a fight and they don't really have the time. She has to stick with a choice few.]

How are you doing? Have you seen the others?

Mia! [He says, glad to see her, but also a little nervously, as he rubs subconsciously at his bound arm.] I'm doing well - still doing what I can for a fuzzball, you know? The others... They were okay when I last saw them, but we've split ways for the moment.

[Mia's frown turns dark, one gloved hand reaching for his arm hesitantly.]

Has no one helped you with this?

[wildbluevagner]

[He gives a nervous smile.],?small>

Don't worry - it's gotten some treatment so far and it's not so bad as it looks. I'm good to go!

Day 2

[ What a crazy random happenstance! Tony just happens to be fighting in the same area as Kurt. They've knocked out the last wave of cultists, but more are approaching in airships. Tony was getting mighty sick of airships. When they were unloading cultists onto the ground, at least.

He lifts his visor to make eye-contact with the fuzz, before pointing up to the ships in the sky. What do you say to fighting airship with airship, kid? ]

Day 2

[It had been one thing to hear about Tony being a hero all the time. It was quite another to actually see it in action. And it was cool. Really cool. So he eagerly follows Tony's body language as he speaks.

Sounds like a plan. Kurt nods and bamfs over to directly in front of Tony.]

Still no Stephen Hawkings voice box, huh? So what are we thinking, Iron Man, are we taking my express route up there?

[alloys]

[ He nods. He could fly up there, but it was dangerous with a 'passenger' and they'd lose the element of surprise. Best to stop in unannounced. ]

Alright. I guess it's about time we started this superhero team-up business, after all.

[And he grabs onto the Iron Man and... they're bamfing up to the nearest airship.]
