Summary: The next experiment begins, Naoki takes a turn for the ~~crazy~~ worst—there are too many humans here, after all, and obviously this needs to be fixed. Meanwhile, Isamu shoulders the role of ‘demi-fiend’.
Rating: PG-13

[Satisfied by the thought that he's back to normal somewhat, she goes back to pick up the grocery bag, content with just pretending the event earlier didn't happen.] I think I brought too much, but it should help for a few more days.

[Naoki walks over after her, demon side effectively under control for now.] I don't think you'll have to worry about it being too much. [A small nod.] Thanks...

No problem. [She digs into it, then hands him an apple.] Maybe I should have gotten more for cooking...

[That apple? Is getting all his attention. Distractedly:] Cooking?

Yeah, just so you have something warm in your belly. [Okay, off to try dragging you back to that tree so you can sit and eat properly.]

[...Naoki sort of feels like a kid as he lets himself get dragged.] Ah. I'm okay with eating this stuff until...things're back to normal.

Well, as long as you're eating properly, I suppose. [Ted will apologize next week when he finally realizes what the heck is wrong with this one.]

[Naoki nods and smiles a little.] I will.

[She'll just steal some bread for her own, before handing the bag to Naoki.] It's just a few more days. Do you think you can hang on until then?

[Naoki browses through the bag, making mental notes of how to make this last.] I hope so. [Curling and uncurling a hand now.] If I can't, maybe it'd be best to... [He pauses for a moment.] ...lock me away down in the tunnels or something.

Is that really such a good idea?

I don't like it, but if people won't be safe with me roaming around...

Want me to keep you company? It'll be lonely down there alone.

I know, but...it's alright. [He shakes his head.] I don't know if I'll be able to take myself down there. I think my--other side might try and take control if I do.

More reason for me to come with you then. Like I said, there's nothing for me to do this week, and I want to make sure you'll be okay.

[Naoki looks down at the ground.] You're sure? [Those tunnels are the last place he wants to go, but if it means more safety for others...]

We'll play cards, eat chips, and spend it making fun of whatever we can think of. It's not the worst thing that could happen. [Unless you try to murder or hurt her in her sleep. :|;]

Haha. [He smiles a bit with a brief laugh.] If you're fine with sticking with me for a little while...

Hey, like I said, it's not like I have anything better to do. Besides, you'd be lonely without someone, so I'll fill that spot!

[He rubs at his cheek sheepishly.] ...Yeah.

[She grins brightly at that.] It'll work out, all right?

[After a moment, a nod.] Mm, it will.

Do you want to head now, or should we stay here a bit longer?

Now, I think...while I'm still in control of myself.

Mm. All right then. [Should she leave a note? She already left House 6 by now though, and no one would probably notice if she left for a few days.] Let's go.
