[Minding your own business is a thing Legault is very much fond of! But when Hugo and Caesar aren't paying attention, a winged warrior descends from above. Or from around the corner--Legault isn't so much concerned as where he came from as he is of disposing of this enemy.

Especially when said enemy is moving for Caesar, blade at the ready---

And in a flash of movement, his dark purple cloak behind him, Legault appears from the shadows to...how awkward, save someone. He's far too kind for his own good, really. And he thinks he's very handsome at that, but now's not the time for internal monologue.

No, now's the time for quick strikes to the throat. The kind of deep slash that cripples the enemy in one swift movement and leaves blood on both Legault's silver blade...and his face. Ah, well, he expected that. Wounds tend to spray, sometimes, disgusting as that is. Either way, his enemy is down, the lazy redhead is protected, and he can sheathe his blade for now. How troublesome!]

[Caesar had seen everything and yet... He blinks. At the bloody winged warrior at their feet, at the strange man that he had never seen before, at Hugo, and down at his own feet.

This was awkward indeed.

Try to focus on something that isn't your own fail, Caesar. He looks back to the unfamiliar man.]

[Hugo had seen it, wanted to strike, but he wasn't fast enough. Not as fast as this guy at least. It takes a moment for Hugo to register what happened, hand still on the hilt of his blade from when he wanted to go and try attacking the enemy.

After a beat though, it finally occurs to him just what happened, and he quickly went towards Caesar.] A-are you okay?

[He does give Legault a wary glance, suspicious at first given he wasn't familiar with him.

... Except he apparently was.] It's you.

[With just one more melodramatic sigh, Legault turned around to stare at Caesar, then at Hugo, very obviously appraising them. This was his first time meeting one, and the other...he had only met briefly.

Also, he's ignoring the blood dripping from his blade for the moment. He doesn't exactly have anything to wipe it off with, see?]

I'd like to think I'm quicker than most, yes. [And to Hugo--] And we meet again! My, what a small battlefield this is, running into a familiar face.

[Caesar gives Hugo a look before he answers him, almost as if to ask whether he'd seen all of that just now, too.] I'm fine, Hugo.

[He looks back at the other man, tilting his head. He's not really surprised by what happened—there were certainly some impressive people in Luceti, after all—and he's not really bothered by the blood, either. Maybe the only thing that got him was the fact that he didn't recognize this guy at all.]

The battlefield is a small place. You two know each other?

Sort of. [Hugo rubs the back of his neck, not too pleased with himself. If Legault hadn't appeared, he wasn't sure whether or not the situation could have been worse. He didn't want to get Caesar hurt on his watch after all.] He came over to my place once before.

[He twirls his blade for a second, expertly--his hands are dexterous, and he finally sheathes it. He wasn't showing off, though. Legault was just bored...and maybe a little uncomfortable talking to children.]

It was a fleeting meeting; hardly anything worth remembering.
