[While escorting frightened Malnosso scientists and their families with Luke on the first day, one thing became very, very clear to Yuri -- running back and forth like this wasn't stopping other people from being attacked.

Therefore, for the second and third day, he'll be fighting off members of the Third Party (be it to defend the helpless, give someone back-up if it seems they need it, or just taking them down in general). If he should be seen on the 2nd day, he'll look like any other guy trying to take down his enemies. On the 3rd, though, he'll seem much more focused on making fatal strikes as quickly and often as he possibly can, rather than taking the time to have an actual battle.]

[And as he moves along through the fighting, a ninja will fall from the sky into a forward roll right in front of him. Getting up from the roll she finds herself facing...a wall.]

Damn it!

[and up she goes - using the space between buildings to navigate upward again.]

[It's a good thing he was paying attention, or he would've missed Sheena altogether. Seeing her roll in front of him causes him to stop short, and just seeing her makes him call out her name without even realizing it.]

Sheena ...!

[... Oh, she went and spider-man'd climbed up already. Damn.]

[almost immediately after she disappears onto a roof, she's coming back down again, slipping on the last few feet and taking a bad landing]

Get the heck out of here! They're gonna corner me.

[... Oh ow, that fall looked a little painful. Regardless, he's making his way over to her, quickly.]

What, and leave you alone with them?

[or climb walls like that. She pushes herself to her feet and turns, keeping an eye on the roof lines around them]

[He may not be able to do any of that, but he really, really doesn't care. For now, he's looking out for these enemies Sheena said were going to corner her.]

And they dunno you're here. ...Or they wouldn't've. There's three of them.

[one is coming on Yuri's left now.]

[Oh he's spotting that one all right. And immediately turning his full attention to it, getting his stance ready.]

And soon, there'll be two!

[And engaging this enemy in combat now.]

[the other two come from what would now be 'behind' him. Sheena's got her back to him, though, so it's less of an issue.

She can't hold off two Third Party of this caliber for long on her own, though. And none of them are backing down, or even leaving many openings]

[/takes off subject, it's annoying to fix it constantly As much as Yuri'd love to end the enemy in front of him right away, it's actually giving him a bit of trouble as well. Must be one of their higher ranking soldiers, then ...

... Regardless, a glance over his shoulder quickly tells him that he needs to finish up as soon as possible. Even if it's two-to-three, the odds don't seem to be in their favor at the moment.

So for right now, he's sticking to heavy hitting artes as often as possible, trying to get a fatal blow in as quickly as he can. He could always use "that" if he came down to it, but ...]

["That" may mean something different for Sheena, but she's considering it. If she can get enough of a break, that is. She dodges a sword and ducks in with a set of five of her strongest attacks. ...Physics will win, though, and she's just not massive enough for these guys.

Which is why it's so easy for her to be grabbed, twisted, and thrown. She lands well, but now the two of them have her in a corner.]

Sheena--!

[Dammit, this is taking way too long. His frustration with this new situation is immediately taken out on the soldier in front of him, who is now being hit with much, much harder hitting swings.

This isn't enough ... dammit. Dammit! He doesn't have the time to play around like this!

With another strong hit, aiming to knock the enemy off balance, a swirl of energy seemingly forces its way out of him, creating a sort of aura around Yuri -- although, with careful observation, the epicenter of this energy is most definitely the large bracelet on his arm. After following up with an Azure Blast arte, he uses the energy around him to use a much more powerful arte, consisting of some very strong, heavy sword swings--]

Divine Wolf!

[It isn't quite what he was banking on using, but using "that" would take a lot out of him. And if there's another one or two he needs to help take down, he might just need it.

Thankfully, the display of raw strength manages to overpower the Third Party soldier, ending its life with a fatal diagonal slash, ranging from its neck down to its midsection. A lot messier than he would've liked, but he doesn't have the time to be neat about killing someone.

Yuri immediately turns his attention to the two antagonizing Sheena once he's through.]

[Her attempts at taking either of them down individually have been ineffective, and her fighting style, while generally pretty fluid, is too close-range and built on being shifty to hold both of them off at once.

So they've gotten in more hits than she has, basically. She does get one with a solid kick to the jaw, followed by a Demon Seal. More than once, she's wished Yuri had an Exsphere, because attacking together would be great against these guys.

And it's looking like she might have to pull one of her last cards anyway]

Can you gimme a distraction?

[Yuri only responds with a curt nod before rushing up behind the two remaining Third Party soldiers. As soon as he gets there, he uses a Shining Eagle arte right between them, possibly nicking them a bit.

It's meant to distract them, after all -- not actually get solid hits in.]

[Sheena's staying in the corner. It'll stop any surprise attacks from behind, and...she'll need something there when she's done with this.

A large glyph, large enough that its outer circle arc is somewhere behind Yuri and the Third Partiers, appears on the ground. It's hard to trust in any other fighter enough to do so, but Sheena takes a breath and closes her eyes.]

I call upon the disciple of everlasting ice. [the glyph flashes, a brighter neon blue] I summon thee - come, Celsius!

[It seemed like the safest choice, here underwater. Celsius isn't one for the boom and flash and lots of widespread chaos.

She likes close-range chaos much better. She will join you, Yuri, in beating (and freezing) the life out of your mutual enemies. If you accept, that is.]

What ...?

[That's ... nothing like anything he's ever seen before. Summoning ... huh.

He snaps out of his temporary awe fairly quick, though -- there isn't time for standing around and being amazed when there's two enemy soldiers bearing down on you, after all. Thankfully, with Celsius helping out, he'll be taking one soldier and trying to draw him away from the other, meaning to leave Celsius to beat down the one left behind. After all, taking these guys down separately like this would make it a lot easier, especially when they weren't the same fodder from the first day.]

[Sheena will join Celsius in taking out hers, though there won't be much left for the ninja to do. He may well suffer death by icicle.

With summoning, even at full power, there is the initial epic rush of strength, and then the total and complete emptiness of channeling the material personification of whatever element. Add to that the strain of bringing in something from literally worlds away; once that Third Party fighter is down, Celsius will carefully help her summoner sit on the ground in the previous corner, and vanish.]

[Yuri takes a little longer than Sheena and Celsius do to take down his opponent, for obvious reasons. Thankfully, due to the hits it had taken when Sheena was trying to fight it off earlier, this one isn't as much of a chore to take down as the previous one was.

At the very least, it didn't bring him to the point where he'd need to use another Burst Arte, or even his Mystic Arte. But it certainly brought him pretty close. It's a good thing he didn't do so, as it is -- he might need it later, and it'd be a waste to use it on an enemy that was already a little beat up.

Regardless, as soon as he manages to cut down the soldier in front of him, he immediately checks the surrounding area --

-- ... good. Fighting's going on all around, but there don't seem to be any unoccupied soldiers. At the moment, at least.

Therefore, he'll be running over to Sheena, kneeling near her once he's close enough -- mostly to check her current condition.]

[drained and a little woozy, but aware enough to also be watching the area, just in case, cards in hand. She looks right at Yuri when he kneels, and half-grins]

Thanks for not running.

No problem. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I did, anyway. [Because turning around and making a break for it when there's someone who could use his help is just not who he is.]

... You don't look like you're doing too well right now. You wanna go to that safe zone and rest up for a bit?

[corrinesbell]

It's not...this bad at home. ...But I'm gonna be in the way if I stay out here like this. So yeah, I guess that's a good idea.

All right.

[At that, he'll stand up and hold his hand out for her, to help her up. There's no point in playing the "can you stand?" game when she already looks unbalanced.]

[oh, how much she would prefer to just stay sitting for another...hour or so. She takes his hand and does pull herself up unassisted. Walking unassisted will be another matter. But it's not a drastic lean. It's more that she needs something to keep her from staggering around all crooked.

And she will get steadily better, because full power does have its perks.]

But I probably can't do that again today, so can we try not to get attacked again?

Heh, I'm not making any promises, but I'll see what I can do.

[Once she's up and seems ready to go, he'll start walking, keeping his arm up to assist Sheena with her own walking.

He'll also try leading them away from any open areas, as well. While he could probably take on another Elite on his own, now's definitely not a good time for it.]
