[Thankfully the demon is more used to sudden blinding magical effects and is more suspicious of where the spell came from since that was not his own.

But since it didn't harm him and was obviously not a fire spell, he could make a quick guess that another villager has arrived.

Great, so that means someone likely will see him defending Albert and that could be a problem. But it was too late now, and all he could do was continue to fight the soldiers so his summoner would not die and then he could go elsewhere. And he will definitely take advantage of that spell to finish off as many as he can before they can act again.]

[The magic even felt stronger than usual, as her pulse raced from the rush. The third party member in front of her was thrown off his aim by the magic, and she ducked around him as his blow fell, his body falling on top of the droid unit. She struck his neck with her staff, and surveyed the field, looking for the best area to run.

This was no time to stand around and wait to see the aftermath. Staggering slightly at first, she picks up her pace to get completely inside the tunnel area while those who had been affected by the intensity of the spell reeled and burned from their injuries... or were attacked by the demon. Whether or not he noted her presence in the chaos remained to be seen.

For the moment she's very alert, glancing behind her sharply ever so often to make sure she's not being followed. She needed -- cover. Maybe behind some of that debris, those fallen droids-- a good place to catch her breath. She had almost forgotten about the possibility of someone else hiding in that area.]

[Albert shakes his head as his world slowly comes back into focus, taking a deep breath before setting his hands on his knees.

However, the sound of someone very close by sent him on edge again, and he pushes himself to to stagger forward and away. He turns to look behind him, one hand lifted in a defensive manner.

Then he recognizes who is in front of him, and he communicates again with Yuber.

How many more?]

[The number of dead is indeed slowly increasing as Yuber takes out more of the soldiers. There were definitely not many left at least. Not that the demon is counting, because he's not going to waste time better spent killing them counting their numbers.

Nothing I can't handle. You should concentrate on getting to safety.]

[Her eyes narrow faintly at the sound of someone moving nearby, then widen slightly in recognition once the man comes into view.

Albert. And he's injured. But there's no time for talking, here. At least, maybe a healing spell would help give him that boost he needed for walking the rest of the way. Anything else could come later.]

Here... stay still for just a moment. Healing circle.

I'm fine. [He sounds impatient and distracted, already turning away from Raine and the battle between Yuber and the soldiers. He hadn't been injured badly from hitting the wall, but the healing spell got rid of the full-body ache entirely.

Without another word, he's already off and heading back down the tunnel, towards the safety of the secured area and further away from the black knight.]

[And Yuber finally takes care of the last of the soldiers in the immediate area.

However, he will go on ahead and check the immediate area to ensure there are no further soldiers who can cause a problem before Albert can get to safety before he actually departs from this area to another. It is very doubtful there will be any further impediments now.]

[ooc: You guys can continue without me now.]

[Raine follows after Albert, though since she's more of a combatant than he is, keeps an eye out to make sure they're not being followed before heading back to the safe area.

Thankfully, it doesn't seem like they're being followed, so at least that trek back can be done in some peace. Though it's tiring, once that rush starts to wear off, and she rubs at her hand as she walks.]

[Adrenaline is a wonderful thing. It's especially helpful in the middle of a battle zone. Albert continues hurrying along until they are clear of immediate danger, slowing down as he notices the increase of droids on guard. It's only then that he looks over his shoulder at Raine, leaning forward to catch his breath.]

...Your magic.

[She keeps up with his pace as they get toward the more droid-populated area, though when he looks back at her she leans on her staff, biting her lip as she tugs at her glove on the trembling hand.]

It just came back... in that moment, when the automation was thrown at me. The spell just forced itself through.

[He slowly straightens, smoothing the front of his coat.] The automation?

Whatever was left of one. It happened very fast. I was pinned. [That healing spell she cast wasn't just for Albert, after all.] My exsphere probably was responsible. This environment is free from restriction, unlike the barrier.

I see. [But not really. This isn't really the place to be analyzing what she is saying, anyway. Once he has caught his breath, he continues past the patrolling droids.] That's good to hear.

Just in time, I suppose. [There will be more time for that later. Hopefully. She flexes her fingers a little before following after him once more. Her hand feels odd and tingly, almost, but all things considered it's probably expected.]
