Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

((Mod note: Extra draftees won't experience their Shift Incompatibility handicap in their dorms. :|a))

[Simon blinks at that, peering back at Gurren Lagann, then starts climbing up to get to Lagann's cockpit.]

Um... it's kind of hard to explain. Aniki and I just fight without thinking about it... it uses drills for weapons, though. I think Lagann makes it that way.

[Fighting without thinking... sounds like Gold's kinda robot. He just watches Simon climb in for now. Hmm...]

...Drills, huh... How's that work out for you?

Work out...? [Simon reaches the head at last, moving aside the helmet and opening up Lagann's shutters so he can get a feel for what it's like to be in the pilot's seat again. He tugs the Core Drill from his neck, twisting it into place. Gurren Lagann comes to life at once, eyes lighting up, the shutters and helmet shifting into place once more, and with the cockpit lit up, Simon checks to make sure the communication is on properly. Hmmm...

When he speaks up again, his voice echoes in the hanger as if from a speaker.] We won almost every battle so far with just drills, so... I guess it does the job? I don't know how else to fight, so...

[Gold starts pacing around the perimeter of the robot, taking in every detail of it. ...And also to determine the best way inside. But he won't tell Simon that, no.]

Huh. Never woulda thought a drill would be too great in battle, but I guess you learn somethin' new every day! Maybe it's a different from the kinda drill I'm thinkin' of. [Says the kid who bashes in heads with a cuestick.]

Um... hold on... [Simon fiddles with the controls a bit, and Gurren Lagann sits up straighter, lifting a hand and stretching it out. Aaaand hesitates.] ...You should probably move back... [And after a moment, whether Gold moves or not (he's careful anyway, right? Eh-heh), a pair of drills spear their way out of the sides of the outstretched hand. They're sort of small, but Simon doesn't want to break the hanger apart with his experimenting.] Sort of like that? They can break through almost anything, I think.

[Point made, Simon retracts the drills, moving the arms up and down, this way and that, trying to get a feel for driving Gurren Lagann again.] I think I can do this... I usually don't fight in Gurren Lagann without Kamina, though.

...Until the display com for Gurren turns on, and Gold is spotted in it.]
