Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

((Mod note: Extra draftees won't experience their Shift Incompatibility handicap in their dorms. :|a))

[Link, for his part, has decided against leaving his door open. Instead, he's drifting a little, wandering from place to place - if he knows you, he may drop by to see how you're doing.]

[He's, er, also fiddling with a few handheld bombs. Startle him at your peril.]

[Kouki is walking through the hall, glancing around from room to room. He looks over at Link, finding the man familiar.

Hm. They met before, haven't they?]

[Link stops as well - he does look familiar, although he can't quite place his finger on where from. Not something negative - he'd definitely remember that - so he calls out cautiously.]

Hi - we've met, haven't we?

I think we do.

[He wonders when and where they did, if they did met before.]

[Where, though? Link frowns for a moment - then the things on his ears catch his attention.] Oh - the thing at the... [He waves a hand, not sure if he should mention it while in a Malnosso facility.] During the fight with, um, Kamina. Right?

[Kamina did made a big deal over his 'ears'.]

The fight with--oh! That's right...we helped each other out back then?

[He would say more, but is it alright to say them here.]

[Hence why Link is being careful with his words. Stupid Malnosso...]

Yeah! Your name was Kouki, right? That was, um... interesting.

[He nods. Yeah, there's those...rogue Malnosso, right?]

Yep, that's my name! And you're...Link?

Right! It's nice to meet you again. [His face falls a little as he glances around.] Well... it'd be nicer if we could have met again in the village and not here, at least.

Yeah, it would be...but we can do that after the battle?

[It'd be another thing to strive for, and to not get killed along the way.]

Right! What are you going to be doing out there?

[Not getting killed definitely sounds like something to strive for, yes.]

I'll be giving support and protecting the noncombatants.

[Meaning he'll be using a lot of magic, as long no Shifters got too close to him.]

Oh... me too. I guess I'll see you there, huh?

[Link has strength-enhancing gauntlets and a bow. He'll make sure the Shifters don't get too close.]

[With Link also drafted, that left none of the owners at the stables. But hopefully between Taichi, Presea, and possibly those of Link's household, it wouldn't be too bad for the animals.

In any case, him wandering into her room saves her having to track him down later, with the small prepared bag of healing supplies.]

[The animals should be fine - he hopes. At any rate, he left a note before getting hauled off that morning to keep an eye on them - it's doubtful that Epona will let anyone close (except perhaps Tsuzuki), but they should still be fine.]

[Raine gets a quick smile - he's quite fond of the teacher, especially after their earlier conversation.] Hi, Miss Sage, [he says, half-leaning against the doorframe.] Are you going to be okay out there?

Hello Link. [She gives him a smile.] I'll be fine. I've been sent out here a few times before, and I'm not a stranger to battles.

It seems like you late additions are the ones to be worried about, though.

That's good. There's some people that got picked that don't really fight... [He scratches awkwardly at his head - what were the Malnosso thinking, honestly?]

I guess... people keep saying that we're not really compatible. Do you know what that means?

The compatibility would tie in to why those who can't fight have been drawn in as well. They test by shifts to see how a person would withstand the ongoing shifts in an area, or suffer from some form of side effect.

Up until now, they never drew in people that could face these effects, so we'll just have to be cautious of it.

Huh... I wonder what will happen to me, then? [He's really not sure he likes the sound of that.]

I don't know. Supposedly they said it was 'low risk', but that could mean anything. This isn't something we've dealt with, before... I believe Albert had suggested that the late arrivals to the list should wait where the defensive forces are dispatched until we know the situation.

Oh... [Great. They drag him out all the way there and he can't even do anything to help.] Okay. I guess I'll just have to wait, huh?

That's right. Hopefully it won't be anything too... strange, but we'll see what happens.

Yeah... although if it was something that made us not able to fight, why would they bring us here, anyway?

They might not have thought we had enough backup, given our numbers. Or perhaps whatever the trouble will be is something temporary. I can't say for certain.

Oh... I guess. Well, I think it's dumb. Why was I compatible for the last one but not this one?
