Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

((Mod note: Extra draftees won't experience their Shift Incompatibility handicap in their dorms. :|a))

[There is a momentary pause, but soon enough, Gold manages to get Gurren moving, albeit slowly at first.]

[Oh, wow.] Ah- you managed that as fast as my bro!

Hah! It's easy! You just gotta put all your heart into it, that's all! Believe you can pilot it, and you can! [The mech slowly begins to pick up speed in its movements now as Gold gets the hang of controlling it. He won't hit Kamina-level skill anytime soon, but hey, it works, right?]

The really hard part is learning to move it together. [Normally Lagann takes over the system of whatever mecha it combines with, but Kamina is the main pilot of Gurren Lagann- Simon just handles the power and weapon system. So what would Gold do...?]

A-ah...! Careful! [Simon hastily pulls back before Gurren Lagann crashes into the ceiling or something.] There's not a lot of room in here!

Right, right... [Dammit, it's a lot harder to practice when there's nothing to practice on.] They really should make these places bigger...

I guess it would be too much if we asked for more space. [Nngh. What a pain.] Maybe if we tried practicing separately first? Just so you can get a feel for moving around a smaller Ganmen.

[Simon nods, taking over just long enough to withdraw the helmet and detach Lagann, the little mecha hopping down and stepping out of the way as Gurren shifts back into the shorter form of the normal Gurren. It'll probably be easier for Gold to move it around now- more space, and less fight with someone else's controls at the same time.]

Okay, try that.

[Whoa... Talk about a difference. It actually SHRUNK. Still, this is easier to move around, at least. Okay, time for a jog around the hangar!]

The sunglasses on Gurren come off, too- Kamina uses them like a weapon.

[Suddenly, Gurren comes to a stop, upon hearing that.]

Whoa, seriously? [Testing this theory, by pulling the sunglasses off and hoisting them into the air! They gleam!]

Yeah, like that. [Simon backs Lagann up again, just in case.] They don't break easily, so you should be okay to use them sort of like a sword.

[A sword, huh? Well... It is too awkwardly shaped to use it like a cuestick, his preferred weapon of choice. He gives it a few swings in the air, and then IDEA! It's curved so... He throws it in the direction of Simon!]

Aaaaaaand so the sunglasses-boomerang conks Lagann right on the dome and sends it flying. WELL DONE, GOLD.
