Your characters are shuffling off to their rooms. Each room has their name beside it and only they can open the door. People can only enter their room if they're allowed in (or they leave the door open). Characters will find any requested items in their room already. If they have a requested vehicle, there will be another door in their room that will take them to the hangar to inspect their equipment.

I'll be upfront about it. [He leans against the door now, rather casually.]

Why should I trust you to be the leader for our group?

[falenandawn]

Why......? [Oh. There's a long pause there. He's not sure what to think of the question. He knows he's not a perfect leader. He's not as strong or smart as his father, nor as wise as his mother....]

I guess that depends on what you expect of a trusted leader. There are different kinds.

Then what kind of leader are you?

[falenandawn]

[That.... takes a long pauase, too. But if there was once thing he was certain of....] The kind who protects, I guess. Getting people back home alive... Finishing the fight quickly and safely.... that's most important.

I swear to you, I will do my best to assure that everyone gets home safely.

[mischiefbreeder]

Hmm... Not bad, but... It takes more than that to be a successful leader. A good leader has to make quick decisions for the good of the team on the fly. A good leader's gotta fight for the team, putting their lives before his own. A truly great leader is willingly followed by his team through anything, no matter the risks! [He grits his teeth now, glaring into Frey.]

...Is that something you can handle?

[falenandawn]

[Frey meets his stare levelly. His voice is dead serious, not a tone he usual uses either. ] I can, and I have. I led troops in war back home, and I know what it takes. The first I will have to prove to you on the battlefield, the second I can swear to. I would rather die before letting any of you die on my watch. [That statement is said with absolute certainty.]

The last, however, depends entirely on you and the team. And you've yet to show any trust in me to allow that to happen.

[mischiefbreeder]

[...Gold smirks, and then relieves pressure off of the door.]

...Heh. Well, I'll be countin' on you, then. After all, you're the leader! You've got to live up to the expectations you've just pledged yourself to, y'know!

[falenandawn]

[A bit of a smile. Does that mean he can expect Gold's cooperation?] I will.

[mischiefbreeder]

[He goes to open the door now.]

Give us a real show out there, dude, and don't let us down. [And out the door.

...But not before poking his head back in, with a rather creepy grin.]

Because, remember... I'll be watchin' you.
