[ He stares as the skin seals shut on its own -- it's all he can do. This is phenomenal. Alf watches with his mouth agape. An unbecoming display for one of his social standing, but he can't help himself with his weary mind and this kind of extraordinary recovery.

It should have been obvious and I was making sure to have my creatures and swords ready before meeting the enemy because of that. [Yeah, he hates you too, Albert. At least for the moment.]

[For someone who has essentially just come back from the dead, she doesn't seem too happy about it. Feeding on potency always makes her feel so much emptier than usual and after being in so much pain only moments ago, she's not really up for showing her emotions right now.]

[She hangs her head just a bit.] I asked you to do something terrible. I know how unpleasant it is to come in contact with me. I cannot possibly apologize enough for putting you through something like that.

[Vash ducks down. Keeping an eye on the sky. His red coat isn't exactly going to blend in easily to those flying above looking for them. He smirks at the pile of arms and legs at the ground, but keeps his voice down when he speaks.]

[But they can't stay here too long. He can hear the Third Party Members entering the corn field to look for them.]

Yeah, I gues-WH-HAAA! [Whoops, one of those Third Party Members apparently isn't as out as Vash thought he was. Probably one Vash shot at, the softy. As he's suddenly sitting up and trying to cut his middle open.

Of course, it's nothing a quick dodge and a hard punch to the face doesn't fix.]

[Lacking magic spells or magic blades, Sokka is hard pressed to do serious damage to this Elite. It's only thanks to his layered armor that getting knocked around isn't doing him serious harm. At least as long as it's not being caused by that flail. So as he's fighting, he begins to strategize. He can't kill him with his sword, not easily. But maybe there's something else.

When the spiked weapon comes down again, Sokka sends a smoked bomb at their feet and rolls forward, careful to not breathe it in and keep his eyes closed. As he gets to his feet next to the Elite, he pulls out one of his exploding boomerangs and plants it into that cut on the Elite's side. By this time he's scrambling out of the way from another attack. Now to cause the planted bomb to explode before it's removed. Just as the Elite goes reaching for it, Sokka filches a rock from the ground and sends it hurdling towards the bomb. The contact has the desired effect and Sokka quickly turns away to what he expects to be a gory display.

... it does indeed leave a huge gaping wound in the side of the Elite, but he's far from dead. Injured and slow, yes, but not quite beaten.]

Why couldn't it be? We have no idea if the Malnosso have gone to them telling them the same thing they told us. That we're trying to take over the farm and need to be stopped.

We don't know anything about why the Third Party fight or why the Malnosso need us to fight them.

[ He, too, hangs his head for a moment. So the strange feelings were due to getting in contact with her. Then he shakes his head and rises, as much as it throbs from everything that transpired in mere minutes. He's also feeling a little jumpy, if not shaky, but that's not something to blame on her. ]

[As did Alex, though in his case, that may be because he doesn't actually seem to be affected by any negative effects of the incompatibility... at least as far as he can tell.

While the soldier is still occupied with the vines, he'll turn toward Link - it's hard to miss that feeling of someone staring. Not that he seems to mind the staring, anyway... at least if the smile he greets Link with is any indication.]

Are you certain that you should be out on the battlefield? You hardly seem to be in any condition for combat.

[Is that concern in his voice? Why, yes, it is. Being out on the battlefield while sick could prove to be dangerous, after all. Whether that concern is genuine or not... that's a different story.]
