DOESN'T NEED A CUT. People should know how this works, if not, just follow other people's lead. I'm gonna set up some strategist threads at the top, for the four strategists to use if they want to, otherwise people should start their own threads.

[For the most part, Terra remains with the offensive front. She'll heal those who need it but focuses her strength and attention on devastating magic, working on those enemies who aren't immune to her talents. When it comes to stronger forces, she can still be useful as a soldier and so will guard those whose primary strengths aren't physical. She's an efficient fighter even as she doesn't particularly revel in combat; whatever can be done to disable as many enemies as possible, she'll manage. Of course, all this while, she'll keep an eye out for friends and anyone who might need her help.]

[And for a good portion of the time, you can bet Adell's not too far away. His usual style of close-range combat is in full force, and with no limiter and plenty of wide open spaces, he's able to finally cut loose and show off his raw strength.

He's still holding some back. He knows that his best abilities are highly destructive and are unnecessary for the most part. ...And it comes to even less of a surprise when he and Terra prove an extremely effective two-person team.

...In fact, Adell just knocked an Elite skyward with a flaming uppercut. Care to go skeet shooting, Terra?]

[Why, not at all. Terra leaps into the air and bombards the Elite with Holy missiles. Thanks to Adel's attack, the Elite has no time to defend against the attack. But, Terra knows battle well and that they have to grab every advantage they can get. The more they take out, the easier it will be on the non-combatants...at least, she hopes.]

Good shot, Terra!

[Adell doesn't have much time to say much else, though. A small group of mooks quickly heads his way, with little thought of self-preservation, apparently. Adell quickly rushes in to meet them, his opening charge barreling into one of the Third Party soldiers and sending him careening back into his comrades like a bowling ball.]

[It's always fun to watch Adell at work, but of course Terra won't just watch. As that happens, she spins and conjures bursts of water from underneath their foes, doing her part to launch them into the air this time.]

[Launching them airborne while they were recovering was a stroke of genius on her part. So while they're recovering and trying not to plummet back to the ground below?

Adell jumps into the air and activates Crimson Flame, soaring through the whole crowd and delivering massive damage to them all as he goes. The combination attack is more than enough to put these mooks down for the count.]

[Terra lands, glancing around as she takes a moment to catch her breath. There's been a lot of intense fighting lately, after all. She darts a smile to Adell after seeing they have a spare moment; no more soldiers coming their way, at least for now.]

Wonderful, Adell. We're going through them pretty quickly.

[She looks him over; not that he usually needs healing, but any moment they have for that, she might as well check.]

Thanks. Yeah, good thing. The more of them we take out early, the easier this will be later on.

[He looks fine, thankfully. A few scratches here and there, but nothing at all serious.]

[Terra frowns in thought.]

We should seek out those Shifters. I prefer fighting with magic, but we need to take out as many as we can, for the sake of those who rely on magic as their only strength.

[Adell frowns.]

Unfortunately those Shifters probably mess with my abilities too. Not like I haven't fought against a bunch of enemies without my powers before, but it's a lot dicier. Someone with long range attacks is definitely better suited to dealing with them, as much as I hate to admit it.

[...That's of course not saying he won't throw himself into the fray to defeat a Shifter if he has to. Running's not really his style, but taking unnecessary risks is something he's trying hard not to do.]

...and I'm not skilled at long-range attacks, at least not without magic.

[She rests her hand on her sword, brow furrowed.]

We'd need more people anyway, if they have allies to surround them, but...we can still keep our eyes open for ones separated from their soldiers or wounded or the like. Didn't Patchouli have a plan for them, too?

Yeah. Her plan's being worked on elsewhere in the battlefield. I helped set some of them up. I can't really talk about it out here, though. Never know if one of them might be listening and might figure out what it is.

But if I were the Third Party, the Shifters are their best weapon against people like you or me. I doubt we'll see any of them separated from troops. If we do, we should take advantage of it, but problem is I don't even know what one looks like yet.

[Terra nods sheepishly, not wanting Adell to give away anything to the enemy because of her slip.]

Neither do I. Maybe we'll know when we see them, but until then...I suppose we still have a job to do. Let's continue?

[And often she'll be either supported or sheltered (depending on how the fight is going) by Golbez. The calculating sorceror provides ample magic support, and when things get up close and personal he's still rather impressive, striking heavy blows with his gauntleted fists.

He seems to prefer a background role by and large, keeping his more powerful abilities in reserve until necessary, and with Terra on his side they can usually take down full groups between the two of them without getting into much trouble.

Particularly when Golbez manages to grab one of the elites by a wing, which he just did. His crushing grip holds the warrior in place for Terra's attack.]

[That action is appreciated and Terra wastes no time in leaping high bombarding the soldier with Holy missiles. She lands gracefully, darting a small but grateful smile at Golbez.]

Thank you.

[There's not much time to say more, since she notices foes approaching just in her light of sight. She points to their new targets and leaps up again, conjuring her tornadoes.]

Not at all.

[The new group is coming from Terra's side, so him getting in between her and them in time is unlikely. Instead he quickly chants a spell to ruin the attacker's day.]

Fira!

[A gout of flame rises up beneath Terra's twisters. The fire is fanned by the whirling winds, causing the flame to rise up like a burning wall. Any third party members trapped in the twisters or near them are about to have a very painful experience.]

[Terra's eyes widen; the wall of flame is most impressive. She can't help but wince at the screams of those third party members, knowing they sealed their own fate upon attack even as she hates causing others pain. Still, she has no intention of dying on the battlefield. Besides, her train of thought is interrupted when she has to leap back to avoid the heat from that blast of magic.]

[His attention goes to her as soon as she moves. He's not concerned with the fate of the Third Party at all, partly because he's so used to causing death by now, partly because he knows they're just going to revive. His worry is reserved fully for his allies.]

Did that get too close to you?

[Terra shakes her head immediately.]

No, I'm fine! But that was a good idea! We should try that again.

[He smiles at that, not that she can see it. It shows in his voice though.]

I thought it might work. One of my servants, Rubicante, used a similar tactic, though with more emphasis on the flame part.

[Her brow furrows.]

Rubicante...was he here?

Quite a long time ago... He left us in the first incursion of the Third Party.

Right after dying to defend me.

Oh...I'm sorry.

It's alright... He did it willingly, and it was a noble act. I'm very grateful to him.

[She nods, then glances around.]

We should continue....
