[Suki arrives shortly after, having been practicing nearby to try and get a better feel for the sword Sokka had given her. She was still pretty rusty, but there's very little she can do about it now. She'll just have to focus on keeping her fans close at hand as much as possible.

Day 1 had been alright, but she's not sure how she'll feel by the last day, so she's trying to conserve her energy. Still, it's good to see Sokka in one piece; she didn't like that he was scouting alone, so once she spots him, she picks up the pace, jogging over to where he's waiting.]

Sokka! There you are. Are you alright?

[You know, there's still that moment where he has to go "Oh right, Suki" when faced with the makeup. Comes from having lived under the same roof with her so long, he's grown used to seeing her without it. Even so, he brightens up just seeing her. All in one piece. Good.]

Yeah, I'm all in one piece. How about you?

[kyoshi]

Looks that way. [She's not nervous, but... well. It's a little worrisome, going into a big battle so unprepared for what could be coming.] I haven't seen Katara yet, though.

[She's just a little bit further down the river, guys. You can probably see her walking back up towards you in an attempt to keep from being bored.

Yay, waiting. Almost as bad as fighting.]

[markofthewise]

Yeah, I haven't seen- oh!

[He snaps his fingers and tilts to the side, to look past Suki. There she is.]

Hey, over here. [Even as he says this, he's heading over in her direction.]

[kyoshi]

Looks like we have good timing today. [Yet another relief; they're all together again, and everyone's safe. She follows Sokka over to greet Katara, offering a smile.] You made it!

[Oh, yay, people! Much better than trying to not talk in the wire thingy and generally worrying about everyone ever.]

Hey! [Katara smiles at them both.] Yeah - so far so good. How about you guys?

[markofthewise]

[A shrug.]

I took down a few TPs early this morning. [He rotates his arm, clearly impressed with himself.] Took two of them down with one bomberang. [Yeah, that's what he's calling them now. Deal with it.]

[kyoshi]

[TPs? This is not a bathroom, Sokka.] I hope you weren't reckless about it.

[markofthebrave]

[Katara quickly assesses him and - seeing no injury, relaxes.]

'Bomberang,' huh?

[markofthewise]

Yeah, easier than exploding boomerang. So what?

[In the meantime, some soldiers are moving in, unfortunately it's not so obvious with so many buildings around.]

And when am I ever reckless? I don't do reckless!

[kyoshi]

It's been known to happen. Anyway, it's easy to get worried about the people who are alone, you know. [Especially people you love.]

[Eyeroll. And Katara glances away from the two of them, gaze automatically flicking around their surroundings.

...did that shadow just move?]

...hey, you guys?

[markofthewise]

Well, I was kind of worried about you too.

[That lustful gazing into her eyes is derailed by Katara.]

Yeah?

[kyoshi]

[Katara's attention on their surroundings has Suki suddenly paying attention, and she claps her hand over Sokka's mouth to listen properly. There's movement... definitely movement. She lowers her voice.]

Someone's here.

[markofthebrave]

[Katara instinctively shifts to place her back more towards Sokka and Suki as she glances around. Still just shadows - what are they waiting for?

Katara tests her bending. So far, so good.]

[markofthewise]

Mmph!

[He worms his way free of Suki's hand and glares at her. But after spotting the shadows, he immediately draws his blade with one hand, his other hand gripping a Bomb-erang.

... and then they come flying in. A dozen at least, some on the ground, some above them on the buildings, and others swooping in from the sky. Looks like it's going to be a party.]

[kyoshi]

[Suki's on the move immediately, spare fans drawn and flung at two of the approaching enemies and striking them head-on. With a flick of her wrist, her shield is up, and she draws the katana Sokka had given her before she charges forward to fight (and hopefully retrieve aforementioned fans, dammit).]

[While Suki starts dealing with the ones on the ground, Katara draws from the nearby river. There's enough water to make things very uncomfortable for the ones sweeping in, and she begins go bend up separate strands of water, hard and fast, to grab them by any too-slow appendage and throw them down, freezing them. She doesn't know how long she'll be able to bend, so she's going to bloody well make it count.]

[The bomb-erang goes flying, hitting one of the TPs head on and putting an end to that one. Not losing any time, he launches himself into a group of enemies, leaving Katara and Suki behind. The way he fights is likely not anything they've seen before. It's quick, brutal, and a constant shift from elegant smooth slices to outright brutally powerful blows. Perhaps more amazing is that he's taking on half a dozen on his own. He could probably take on more if he needed to.]

[Suki pays him little attention; as nice as it would be to watch her man at work, she's a little busy facing off her own enemies, and they're strong enough to be troublesome if she's not careful. Especially with her lack of experience with the sword. First course of action is to slash away at the defenses and weaponry of the approaching foes, allowing their own strength to knock themselves aside, using her agility to dart through the ranks and keep them guessing about her location as much as possible. In less than a minute, with her katana pinning a man to the ground, she's retrieved her fans and is back at the top of her game.]

[Meanwhile, Katara continues to cover them from above, using her octopus form to grab Third Party members out of the sky, block what they throw down at Sokka and Suki, and each time she lays hold of one of the Third Party members she constricts her grip, brutally crushing a leg, an arm, a wing before flinging them into a nearby building or hard on to the ground.]
