[Saleh moves forward as he spots his allies. He slows down as his muscles begin to tremble. It seems that Rydia and Kain both notice him, so that's good. Now Saleh ponders how he should deal with...whatever he's feeling. Perhaps he should simply stand by and stick to healing when necessary. He moves toward Rydia, keeping a distance to allow her enough room to cast her spells.]

[Rydia's working on another spell, though one enemy is approaching while Kain is otherwise occupied. She targets their foe and Flares him, then fumbles around for an Ether--she's lower on energy than she'd like to be. That's when she catches sight of him.]

Saleh!

[She beckons him forward before the next wave can reach them.]

[While Rydia is casting, Kain leaps high into the air and comes soaring down to stab at the enemy he's dealing with. He'll keep up with the physical attacking since he can guess they'd need to keep them away from getting to Saleh.]

[Heeding Rydia's call, Saleh promptly moves towards her. His vision somewhat hazy, he looks past her, trying to watch Kain as he handles the physical combat.]

How...how are you holding up?

[Rydia frowns in concern.]

I was about to ask the same of you. You don't look well, at all.

[Kain meanwhile keeps up the fight, striking fiercely at the opponent.]

I-I'm…

[He's fine…that's what he wants to tell her, but he knows that she would know better. Regardless, he can't let this hinder him. He has to concentrate on the battle at hand. However, his body betrays him as he suddenly falls to one knee. He props his staff on the ground, using it to pull himself to his feet again. In the end, it turns out to be a futile effort as the staff slips, and Saleh collapses limply to the ground, having suddenly fallen asleep.]

[Rydia curses under her breath, moving to stand before him and hopefully shield him from harm. To that end, it's time to spellcast again and Rydia gets ready to unleash a Firaga spell as soon as certain targets are within range.]

[Kain adds in his own quiet curse as he sees Saleh hit the ground, and he increases his efforts to stab at the enemy. The sooner he can bring htem down the better now. Drawing them away from Saleh at all costs is his plan now, and he's determined not to let them overwhelm Rydia, either.]

[Saleh will stir, evidently trying to wake up, but to no avail. His basic human survival instinct is clashing with this sudden narcolepsy, and wouldn't give up.]
