[Cheyenne doesn't react to that dagger being pulled out. Not right away, at least.]

[Despite the ever-growing puddle of blood on the ground around her, her hand moves. It tightens into a fist as pain begins to flood Cheyenne's body and the wounds slowly, painfully slowly, begin to heal. In that moment, the negative feelings around her intensify.]

[Her neck is the first to regenerate. And while this stops most of the blood from flowing out of her body, it also gives her back her vocal chords.]

[Before she can think to hold it back, she lets out a loud, strangled cry of pain.]

[That... distracts him. It distracts him long enough that he final soldier standing manages to strike again at that same spot he got the gash in. He grunts in pain and then punches that one in the face too, breaking its nose. That should be all of them. Clutching his openly bleeding side, he now turns to look down at Cheyenne with something between alarm and terror because there is no way she can be alive]

[No way, huh?]

[She manages to bite back any more screams as the rest of the wounds finish healing. The wound on her side is the very last to heal, her skin simply growing over to seal in the wound as the tissue beneath the surface regenerates.]

[Sensing that Masaomi is the only one left standing, she starts to get up. The front of her body is covered in her own blood and while her blindfold is gone, her eyes stay closed. She rests on her knees and looks up in his direction.]

...you are injured.

[He... stumbles back a few steps. The fear is overwhelming him, actually. She just... she was dead. No one can survive that. No hu-

But she wasn't human, was she? She never was. She was always a monster and she admitted it. He laughs. It's mirthless and probably borne of the bloodloss. He takes two more steps back there, wanting to put more distance between them. He's considering fleeing, actually, because the less rational part of his brain is a bit gone in his battle frenzy]

[Cheyenne doesn't make any attempt to stop him, remaining on her knees unmoving. She can see just how scared he is and the more distance he puts between them, the better. Besides, she can't exactly help him with his wounds, after all. Even standing next to him is painful when she's like this.]

[But this was different than seeing the fear in those soldiers as she tore out their souls. This was Masaomi.]

[She didn't understand why, but somehow that seemed worse. Knowing he was suffering because he came over here, because she needed help, because she was at full power, because she was a monster... the guilt was so much stronger than usual.]

[Slowly, very slowly so as not to startle him, she raises a hand to point in the direction opposite herself.]

Kida. The closest group of villagers are not far off, in that direction. There are more soldiers approaching this area... I do not wish to see you hurt any further.

[And then... following her point, he turns and flees in that direction. The guilt will probably start to eat him once he's outside of the range of her aura, but right now he's way too concerned with not being dead.
