[Kaori is sent slamming into the ground when Katara hits the Elite, wincing as she felt her Filial wings protest the action of landing on them. Never mind that, she's recovering as quickly as she could and making her way over the Masaomi to make sure he's still okay and not frozen, still. Actually, she's dragging him further away, out of the Elite's reach.

Damn it, is Shikamaru done yet?!]

[Done and done. He's about out of breath by the time he gets back, but he took advantage of the Elite's distraction to come at him from the right, trench knives out and making a sweep to the bleeding wound Kaori delivered.

The Elite dodges backwards in a flip, using his feet to try and kick Katara's bo away from her while he's at it. Shikamaru waits until that distance is between them again to make his comment to the rest of the team.]

Don't worry. Everything's ready. [He coughs; takes a breath of air.] There's not much even he can do to stop it now.

[Hook, line...]

[Shoved and then Kaori's pulling him? No way. He roughly pulls himself off from that grip]

Stop that!

[But then, when he's planning to close in again... there's Shikamaru. Masaomi's eyes narrow, but he snorts. Alright, fine. He doesn't rush, not sure where he's supposed to go now. So he pulls back a little to get to the same position as the rest of them. He just nods.]

[Katara jumps back, avoiding the Elite's kick. But as she does so, she catches something out of the corner of her eye up in the sky, behind Masaomi and Kaori - a dozen Third Party soldiers flying in approach.]

Incoming!

[Meanwhile, the Elite attempts to break away and rush towards the barn. Time for a dramatic swing-and-miss with her bo.] No!
