DOESN'T NEED A CUT. People should know how this works, if not, just follow other people's lead. I'm gonna set up some strategist threads at the top, for the four strategists to use if they want to, otherwise people should start their own threads.

[If he weren't so absorbed in his own battle, Yuan would've considered helping either Jack or Sokka. Sadly, three soldiers were trying to crowd around him in hopes of finding a weak spot. There's no way he could defend his entire body at the same time. Of course, Yuan was always one to think that offense is the best defense. As the three rushed towards him, he raised his saber above his head and jumped upwards, before bringing the lower blade down into the ground.]

Thunder Explosion! [A field of electricity formed all around him, leaving the ground shuddering. Two of the three soldiers were hit by lightning magic and fell, but the third managed to jump backwards just in time. Yuan pulled his saber free from the ground and turned to give chase, hoping to strike the enemy down before he got too far out of range.]

[Oh great, on his own with the Elite from hell. Sokka puts himself on the defensive, watching his enemy's moves carefully. When the spiked ball comes flying towards him again, he rolls out of the way, and then brings his sword down on the chain, anticipating he'll be able to shatter them. No such things happen, he just gets hit be the recoil of his sword hitting something too solid.

Crap, crap, crap. He barely avoids a kick to the face as he leans his back and head back, letting the foot fly over him. He finds his balance again and in the moment the Elite is pulling his flail back into the air, Sokka takes the opportunity for another cut to the side as he repositions himself on the other side of the Elite. The cut is barely even a flesh wound and his enemy is too fast for him to go for the wings. Damn.]

[Compared to all his previous foes, this one was deathly quiet. He strained his ears to hear her movements, only able to parry at the nearly the last instant before contact. The sword shuddered in his hand from the force of the blows, but he quickly moved in to counter. Sparks flew as a game of speed and agility began to play out, both unrelenting in their attacks but striving to not let the other draw first blood. In a flash, droplets of blood dribbled to the ground in a soft patter. The samurai now bore a long cut down his cheek but the Elite was not without her own wound, a clean slice on her right shoulder slowing turning her sleeve deep red.]

[Another soldier hit the ground and Yuan was struck by the thought that this was easy- too easy. He turned, surveying the battlefield. Sokka was battling one of the Elites, Jack the other. Where was the third? Just as his gaze shot up to the sky, he realized the last Elite was swiftly diving towards him, his spear at the ready. Yuan barely had enough time to step aside and avoid being impaled on it. His enemy had anticipated such a move and wasted no time with recovering from his miss; he turned on the spot, striking Yuan in the chest with the other end of his spear.

Yuan flew a few feet and fell flat on his back, a wave of pain immediately rushing through his body- He'd landed on his wings, and the back of his head hadn't exactly been safe either. Still, he couldn't afford to take too long to recover. Instead, he instantly rolled to the side to make sure the Elite couln't try to attack him while he was down. His hairtie gave way, releasing lengthy locks of blue hair.

When he got back to his feet, his eyes narrowed and his saber returned to his hand with one simple summoning spell. It looked like it was time to get serious.]

[Lacking magic spells or magic blades, Sokka is hard pressed to do serious damage to this Elite. It's only thanks to his layered armor that getting knocked around isn't doing him serious harm. At least as long as it's not being caused by that flail. So as he's fighting, he begins to strategize. He can't kill him with his sword, not easily. But maybe there's something else.

When the spiked weapon comes down again, Sokka sends a smoked bomb at their feet and rolls forward, careful to not breathe it in and keep his eyes closed. As he gets to his feet next to the Elite, he pulls out one of his exploding boomerangs and plants it into that cut on the Elite's side. By this time he's scrambling out of the way from another attack. Now to cause the planted bomb to explode before it's removed. Just as the Elite goes reaching for it, Sokka filches a rock from the ground and sends it hurdling towards the bomb. The contact has the desired effect and Sokka quickly turns away to what he expects to be a gory display.

... it does indeed leave a huge gaping wound in the side of the Elite, but he's far from dead. Injured and slow, yes, but not quite beaten.]

[Just as he thought he had found an opening in her defense, Jack quickly found the tables turned. She caught his blade in mid-swing, hooking it with the curve of the cross-guard on the hilt. In a fluid, circular motion of the arm, Jack's sword was flung out of his hand, landing with a clatter several feet away. The Elite wasted no time in striking, a wide slash only barely dodged by the samurai. He rolled to the side, a gash by the bottom of his ribs speaking volumes of how close it was. Now he was unarmed and fighting blindly against the swordswoman.]

[Meanwhile, Yuan was still fighting his own Elite soldier. The enemy was fast- much faster than the average Third Party trooper. Yuan dodged his spear in continuous, fluid motions, but even after fifteen seconds he could find no openings. At this rate, it was only a matter of time until the Elite got lucky. Left, right, left, right...

Then, finally, he saw his chance. When the Elite tried to jab forward, Yuan stuck his saber firmly into the ground before him and jumped upward, flipping himself upside-down, with one hand still holding onto the upper handle. The enemy froze in his attack, apparently overcome with confusion, and Yuan took advantage of that to launch himself off the saber again, whirling in mid-air to land behind his opponent. These soldiers may wear light armor over their wings, but such defenses won't protect them from everything. Just as the Elite tried to turn and face him, he grabbed hold of both wings and sent a surge of lightning magic through them.

Metal conducts electricity. That's gotta hurt.]

[Time to finish it. As Sokka jumps at the Elite, he goes for the wings. The Elite makes an attempt to grab at Sokka, but the smaller warrior is too fast and all the warrior manages to do is grab the wolf tail, causing the hairtie to break and his hair come loose. A few strands are lost in the attempt, but it doesn't stop Sokka from getting one good cut on the wings, crippling the larger warrior. While he still has the momentum, he starts hacking into the part of the wing not armored until he has a chace to try and pry the armor off completely.

Unfortunately he forgot the Elite also has magic at his disposal and is oblivious to a rock that's levitating behind him.]

[His ears strained to hear the Elite, the sounds of Sokka and Yuan around him were crystal clear yet this one was like a ghost in the night. The samurai fell into a defensive stance, one the monks had taught him in his youth. He waited patiently for that one telling mark of any strike. It was in that instant it rang clearly: the hard exhale of breath from swinging the sword. As the silvery blade came down, ready to cleave through flesh and bone, two hands clapped together, sending a crack like thunder sounding into the air. The Elite stood in shock, straining to bring the blade down, only to find it held firmly between the samurai's hands. A battle of wills and strength had begun, both trying to overwhelm the other.]
