[Well, there's probably no point in upsetting the poor thing further. So Giles will do his best to "clean up" the tree before he wanders off.]

I think we'd need a couple of more before Mizuno-san, Helios and I can all fit.

Usually after they get mistreated by a family and start making a ruckus, but yes.

A brownie normally considers itself "mistreated" when the family or household its attached to ceases to do a sufficient share of the household chores and instead leaves the brownie to bear the full burden.
