New Species Event - Mass Interaction Log
Who: Anyone!
What: All in here
When: Today, Tomorrow, Until April 2nd
Where: Anywhere in Luceti!
Summary: People in Luceti wake up as something they weren't before. An elf, a gremlin, a vulcan, or perhaps a mermaid? Try living in someone else's shoes... if they can even wear those.
Rating: Not recommended for those with weak constitutions, raging hormones, shipping goggles, or people just too cool and attractive for this kind of thing.
No need for LJ Cut! Mass action style stuff all around town. You can use this if you don't want to make a post. Or you can make a post anyway. Have at!

It's probably very noticeable that while the woman was seen falling into the fountain, there's hardly a trace of the woman now. Instead, this creature--admittedly woman sized and perhaps the coloring is a bit familiar-- seems to be in her place instead.
Disorientation isn't even the word to begin with.]

...
He stares at the large animal in the fountain. Upon confirming that there is nothing else in the fountain, he returns to where the animal is.]
...Raine?
no subject
Fountain. She was in the fountain, in that wet cold water. And yet--almost as soon as it had gotten cold, the cold had gone away. The wetness of clothes--even the initial panic had been replaced by an odd onset of disorienting calm.
Her body was different. Her body had warped... to something else entirely. Her eyes focus again, suddenly, taking in the presence in front of her. Searching. There's familiarity there, though also a change. Experiment.
For the moment she can't make the words. Her strange eyes acknowledge his query.]
no subject
Raine, are you hurt?
no subject
Everything seems to be sinking in slower, somehow. As if she could somehow tune out what had just happened, because it didn't matter anymore. Had she escaped, somehow?
No. It was just this body. And maybe she really was sore, underneath it all.
His question. In order to answer it she couldn't hide like this. But it just felt so odd, communicating with that body. Her head moves from side to side, though that searching stare remains. No. Not hurt.
The attempt at speech doesn't go so well at first either. She's certain she can manage it, somehow, but at first what comes out is just an odd warble. Huh.]
no subject
Don't worry. The fountain isn't so deep that you can't climb out. [Just in case she's inwardly panicking.]
no subject
Her gaze moves to the rim of the fountain. Falling in with a thin woman's body made a difference from climbing out with this one, but the attempt would have to be made. After all, she couldn't just stay in the fountain. That would be silly.
But how to ... navigate? She puts her arms--no, they're flippers, and so oddly short-- forward, attempting to turn her body so she can push herself over that edge. Is it really something she can climb out of alone?]
no subject
no subject
She slowly pushes herself forward, her tail flipper splashing in the cold pooling water.
Maybe she would be able to get over if she just didn't think about it.]
no subject
Don't overthink it. There seems to be some instinctual element to this experiment.
no subject
And then she moves. It makes the climbing out a lot less clumsy. An almost fluid motion. It's just... strange. And all too easyto pull in and let that other mentality take over.]
no subject
So you are not confined to the water.

The boy in front of her had already suggested listening to her instinct. She could feel another odd compelling--communicating might be more difficult in this form, but perhaps, if there was another...
And all of a sudden she feels something there, her humanness, and suddenly the seal's body feels almost surreal-- and weighs more like a very heavy coat that she very much wants to be out of. The head, at least, slips back slowly, almost like a hood, revealing her face as she looks blankly toward Albert with her own eyes.
She still doesn't feel very much like herself at all.]
no subject
He looks blankly at Raine. Very blankly, like he's trying to process what this is that he's witnessing.]
no subject
She stares blankly back at him for a few moments, for the first time taking in that he had been affected as well.]
I-I think I'm fine. Now. [Maybe. She wasn't sure. She didn't feel firmly rooted.] Did something like this happen to you?
no subject
Nothing like that, no.
no subject
You're so small. [And those ears... they're definitely noticeable.]
