[This is sensible conversation, at least, if much more empty-headed than Don would normally expect of Buffy.]

I'm moving 1.2.2 live, then I'm out. I think the code changes are causing the program to divert to alternate stable subroutines...

[ although no longer in a frenzy over spike, she is still very chipper. and kinda...lacking in any of buffy's clever little quirks. they never translated well into the bot's programming. especially the patrol-related puns. ]

[At first Jack tries to shove the door closed again, but to no effect. Then he realizes that giving this strange version of Buffy whittling duties might actually take care of the problem.]

Right---you'll have to chop down a few trees first, I imagine, and then make yourself a tidy number of stakes. That can't take long, can it?

Only a few hours. But a Slayer's dedicated. [ ... ] Willow says we can't let them realize she's gone.

[ the robot is now looking for a suitable axe -- but she doesn't know the room. this involves tearing a lot of things out of drawers and checking in some pretty unorthodox places. ]
