Ha! You'd have to find me in order to do that! But I'm going, I'm going. So just wait here. [With that Vash starts to climb the tree they've been using for cover.]

[There's a little rustling in the tree above you, then all goes quiet for a few minutes as Vash quietly, but quickly stalks through the branches.

The silence is suddenly broken by the twang of a bow string almost immediately followed by a gunshot. Then all hell apparently breaks lose as it's quickly followed by a whole bunch of yelling and occasional bursts of rapid gunfire.

Branches fall here and there and then things suddenly go quiet again for a minute or two after something heavy falls to the forest floor that is NOT a branch. Quiet that is until.]

ACK! No! Don't do tha-

[Is that the sound of a large tree falling down RIGHT NEXT TO YOU?

Yes. Yes it is. One Vash is apparently on as he goes screaming down with it. At least it shouldn't hit you if you don't move! And by the sound of the panting Vash is still alive!]

[Huff, huff.] Just... [Huff.] one... [Huff.] more... [Huff.] left!

[He takes a step forward, stumbling and cursing under his breath.]

*stares at last tag* wow... I think I was tired when I wrote that. Like I am now!

[Vash works on getting to his feet] Well, I sort of lost track of him when the tree fell, but he was turning and running away. Maybe we should get moving before he heads back this way.

... I didn't even notice that. So we're even.

Not too far. [Vash will lead Wolfwood a few steps before stopping for a moment.] Man, could this thing be any heavier?!

[Insulting the man who's trying to help you while you're blind? Fine then.]

Alright then. Here catch. [Totally not throwing it,but hefting it around like he is so it will make some noise.]

[He flinches, turning his head, but he's not so amused; after a beat, he dips his chin and displays a frown that might be trying to vainly mask frustration.]

Really funny. You want me to carry it or not?

[Alone in a mysterious forest with no means of defending himself. Could get other people hurt, he's already been hurt, slows down Vash--it's pissing him off.]

[Vash lets out one short, annoyed sigh. Maybe he should let you get away with a rude comment or two. At least when he had gone blind it was in Luceti and not a war zone.] You can have it. Here. [He carefully leans it towards the preacher so it will bump gently against his hand to let him know where to find it.]

Don't worry. It probably won't last more than a day or two.

[He takes it and hefts it onto his shoulder.]

... I know. I got it.

Then lets get out of here before he makes it back with friends. [Taking your hand and placing it on his shoulder.] Think you can follow me like this? [Seemed slightly more dignified for you then hand holding.]

Yeah, I can follow that just fine.

[Vash moves slow and carefully. Weaving around anything that looks easy to trip over. Stopping for a moment at one point to disarm a trap, but besides that the walk back is relativity uneventful.

Relativity that is, because at one point Vash hesitates for the briefest of seconds before moving on, and not too long after that Wolfwood may start to feel the ache in his ribs is growing less sharp. For some reason it looks like Vash may be using a bit of healing magic all of a sudden. Not that the slow tension that's growing in his shoulder under your hand has any reason for that either.]

... You know, if you use that for too long, the magic-sniffing dogs'll start to track you.

I know. [Just a couple more steps then he stops and brushes your hand off his shoulder.] Wait here for me for a second? 'Kay?

[He releases a strained breath, nodding. The small injury and the fact that he was putting more effort into paying attention than usual was really draining the energy from him, man.]
