[Raven sets off away from the waterfall, it's a dead end up there anyway, they'd be better trying to head towards the base camp if possible. Then they can catch their breath again.]

Stay close to the wall, mate. Somethin' tells me those flying bastards won't want to risk the unusual air currents in this place. They could be blown straight into the walls as well as fly in here, lad---mark me.

[He reaches for the metal container clipped to the side of his belt, holding it out towards Jack.]

[Jack only took a few swallows, but it was enough to fortify him for the rest of the trip. Good Spirits would be seeing a lot of him when he made it back to the village.] Cheers to us not-dying, eh?

I'm not gonna trust our luck just yet, we might be safe fer now, but they could show up again any minute. We'll celebrate properly when we're at camp.

I'm not sure ridin' the river is a good idea. We've got no clue just how far it goes, we could end up bein' dumped at the ocean a hundred miles away!

Or we could just... ya know, not ride it the whole way. [It's only now he's realizing how stupid what he just said was.]

I just don't think we have the TIME for that, mate. Clinging to flotsam might serve just as well as......

Let's find some likely logs, eh?

Would ya rather sail down the river on a log that might tip over, or tie three of 'em together and go down like a pirate?

[He runs towards a large tree and starts casting. His magic could easily slice it, it just takes time to cast.]

And...Raven, what exactly are you doing, son?

[He finishes casting, causing blades of air to slice the tree into three neatish looking logs. Excuse the odd few branches sticking out, he never said he'd done this before.]

It's called magic. I'm guessin' it's not somethin' common where your from.

We've got magic, I just...wasn't previously or priorly or a priori aware of the fact that you can cut trees with your magical mind.

[And he is already preparing to lash said logs together with said vine.]

My magic doesn't come from my mind, or from any other thing like aer or magical filial spirits. Let's just get this made up quickly!

[His magic comes from his own life force. A spell like that is no problem thanks to the power cap being removed, but he's still cautious, he hasn't used magic much in Luceti at all.

Either way, he's helping Jack tie the logs up. It's lucky there's more vines around, the one he used to fish him out wouldn't be enough for three logs. Not the biggest logs, but they should carry them well enough.]

[Jack steps back to admire their new raft.]

We are going to die.

It was your idea to go down the river. If you wanna back out now, here's your big chance!

What?! Jack Sparrow never backs out, lad. ONWARD!

[He will begin to push the raft into the river, but he won't get far. It's really a two-man job. Show us some of those hidden muscles, Raven.]

[Fine, he's helping you push it into the river. Let's just hope this thing actually floats...]

[Jack pushes extra hard once the other man steps in and before long they are going to have to JUMP for it because the current is fast!]

NO TIME TO LOSE, RAVEN-LAD!

[Already making a jump for it! He is a very good jumper after all. But geez, he was tired. Maybe he'd get to lie down for a while on the raft... who was he kidding this water was too rough.]

[Riding tree trunks down the river is NOT the same as sailing a ship. Most of this is going to be luck, clearly. Sharp rocks jut out here and there, and the whitewater is beginning to be fierce. All they can really do is hold on and hope.

Jack catches one wave in the face and ends up sputtering quite a bit before:]

I'm on a pile of logs sailin' down a river to god knows where! Do ya think I'm alright?!
