you're in the jungle, baby / you gonna die

Who: All draftees
What: Fighting the Third Party... and perhaps the wildlife.
When: June 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th. (Characters will be pulled out at 11:59 of the 6th.)
Where: An as-yet unmapped by the Malnosso tropical rainforest.
Summary: Here are your details. Try to stay alive, won't you?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R.

No cut for you. Most of you will know how this works by now; if you don't, follow the lead of the others, or perhaps look to the last draft's fighting post for ideas. Don't forget to use your handy dandy character tags. Go forth and conquer thine enemies!

[Fortunately for her, Dhaos is perfectly willing to believe that poker face. His time travel takes a terrible amount of energy, and this girl did not look to him like someone who could survive it. Surely there were other ways to time-travel, but it was not an ability commonly found... Stopping time was much easier.]

You can stop it much longer than most with the ability, however. [Just an observation. Dhaos' time stop wouldn't last half that length.]

At the cost of more magical energy. But, they seem to be very gracious about that. My energy rarely goes down too low and replenishes itself within hours after extensive use.

[Extensive being what she is doing right now. She'll likely collapse in a few hours at this rate, but she'll keep going until that moment as far as she is concerned.]

That is one good thing about this business. [Dhaos was rather tired of collapsing from mana deprivation and being unable to recover because the mana levels were so low.]

Its a messy business, but if we can protect the village from these attackers then I don't mind dirtying my hands. [Fighting Witches was a bit easier, because they were more distant threats, but that didn't matter. A threat was a threat. She could grieve and hate herself later for all the blood that she shed.] I'm sure you have been fairing well in this battle.

[Dhaos is a full grown man who has killed to protect before, and doesn't really care about the villagers, but he understands. Some things are worth throwing away for others.] I would be fairing better without this infernal headache.

Headache? [Okay her frown deepens a lot.] Why are you fighting if you have a headache?

It could be worse. I may not be at full strength, but that will not stop my enemies from attacking.

[And the alternative was waiting the day out back at the base, with humans.]

[She stays silent for a moment, wondering if he's an idiot or a brave man for stepping out into a war zone with such ailments that could cloud his thinking.]

I see. If you insist that you will be alright, then I won't say anymore on it.

[And cloud his thinking it does. But he's more than confident in his abilities, and while he's still likely to get hurt he'd rather suffer that than the consequences if he loses his temper around others.

If there is anything remotely resembling concern in Homura's voice, Dhaos doesn't catch it.]
I have gone to battle under worse conditions.
