What: Toph's Birthday Party!
When: June 5, afternoon-eveningish?
Where: House 56
Summary: It's Toph's 13th birthday! Pretty much anything goes here. Fun, chatting, games, food--whatever! What to run a game of Pin the Tail on the Donkey? Go for it! Want to crash the party? Go for it!
Rating: PG-ish, sure.

That's right, Toph is now officially a teenager. And this party? Despite the Malnosso and the draft and the whole fact that they were stuck in Luceti in the first place? It was gonna be awesome. She had already decided that. Even if some random morons showed up.

Everything was pretty much set behind the house; Toph even provided the chairs and tables herself through her earthbending. But there are some folding chairs set out as well for those who mind a more comfortable seat. There is also an array of party foods, with excesses of chips, popcorn, and soda.

So the party is ready to roll, and so is the birthday girl. Let's get it started.

I've got earthbending and metalbending. Why would I need lightning bending, too?

Why not? I've got four types of magic, but magic weapons? I'll take those too.

Well, it's different for you. You're not a bender to begin with. You don't exactly have that allegiance to your original bending type.

[Heck, maybe other benders don't either. But Toph does.]

[Not sure if he should be insulted by that. Well, whatever.]

The way I see it, if crazy magical powers get results in a battle, we can use all the help we can get.

[Well, she at least didn't mean to be insulting. That's just Toph nature, really.]

...You've got a point there, Thunderaxe. [She can't help but snort.] Where'd you come up with that, anyway?

I got it from a pirate.

[Who at the time seemed much cooler than he does now.]

...That Luffy guy? Or one of his friends?

[They're the only pirates she's aware of so far.]

... different pirate, not related to Luffy's crew.

Gee, this place is just full of 'em, huh?

[Not that Toph really minds. Pirates seem pretty cool, in her opinion.]

There does seem to be a lot. But most of them are on Luffy's crew. Not that Luffy and his crew seem all that... pirate-y to me.

[It's almost a slight against pirate lore!]

I only talked to him over the journal. Oh, and that one guy who was floating through the air, so I didn't get a good look at him. So I guess I can't judge how pirate-y they were.

Well having met real life pirates back home and fighting them, [kinda] I have a pretty good idea of what they should be like.

[Wait.

Waaaaaaait.]

You guys fought pirates? When was this? Did you win?

It was before we hit the North Pole. And it was less that we fought them and more that Katara managed to tick them off by stealing from them.

[She snorts in delighted surprise.]

No way, Katara stole from pirates? Katara, your sister? Who's always making us eat vegetables and do our chores?

[Oh maaaaaan.]

[It's weird that she doesn't know all this stuff for him. After all, she got to drive them all crazy inquiring about stuff from the play.]

Well the waterbending scroll just gave her so much hope.

[Just be glad she isn't asking him about that time Sokka dressed up in a female warrior's outfit.]

For a scroll, huh? [That made a little sense.] Still, the idea of Katara stealing is pretty crazy. I'm gonna have to ask her about that one for sure.

[She neeeever needs to know about that, okay.]

Feel free to. Though she still thinks it was okay. [Stubborn sister, never learning lessons.]

[She would never, ever let him hear the end of it.]

Any other wacky adventures I should know about?

[Well.... hmm, what else was there?]

There was that time Aang got arrested... by an Earth Kingdom village.

People in the Earth Kingdom arrested the Avatar? What kind of city was this?

[That just don't add up.]

You ever heard of some guy named Chin the Conqueror?

[He hadn't, but then, he wasn't an Earth Kingdom noble kid. Just a Water Tribe peasant.]

Sure. He's supposed to be some kind of hero, isn't he?

[She doesn't sound too convinced about that, though.]

[He rests his chin in one hand, while waving the other one a bit.]

More... conqueror, than hero? Hence the conqueror part. Avatar Kyoshi kind of, sort of, killed him. Basically. By accident.

Guess that wouldn't make the Avatar very popular around there then, eh?
