Just one night

Who: Everyone! Presented by the SOS-Brigade!
What: People enjoying a good time
When: Sunset onwards (so 9:30ish PM plus)
Where: The main square of the village
Summary: It's Tanabtata, and Haruhi likes Tanabata. As a result, there will be fireworks and a little food and wishes to be made.
Rating: PGish I assume unless people do things in public??

[So it's Tanabata - Haruhi loves this holiday (which other people like too, of course) and as a result tends to force a celebration for it on everyone else. That's why the Brigade has set up lanterns, a few food stalls, a small tea stall and other such stuff outside of the Brigade HQ tonight. She also has kimonos - she'll dress up the Brigade personally and she is dressed in a flashy one as well (and she'll dress up other people who look listless!) as well as bamboo shoots put there to write wishes on.

...There will be fireworks later tonight, but it's a small get together. Just some dishes made by her and some other members of the Brigade and tea. Lanterns to set a mood, and linger. Feel free to get involved however you well please

Mass interaction log of course]

Okay. [He smiles faintly, shifting his wings a little.] I'll put one up later. Do you want to get something to eat? [There is a lot of food around - he doesn't recognise a lot of it.]

I would love to. [Getting back to his feet and dusting himself off.] Anything you'd prefer?

I don't know. I think we've had some stuff at home, but I don't know other things. Like those. [He's pointing to the dango.]

They're called "dango", Link. Small, sweet dumplings. Quite good, it's just...far too easy to eat far too many.

...an instance where Luceti's lack of currency does not work in my favor, I'm afraid. Helios has been a remarkably bad influence on me.
blessedbyfarore: (is that something tasty?!)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2011-07-11 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
Really? [He reaches for a stick, trying it cautiously before brightening up.] These are good!

And I go to the bakery a lot more than I would in Hyrule, that's for sure.

I can see why, if a lot of these particular items didn't exist back in Hyrule.

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2011-07-11 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it's also because I have to pay for things in Hyrule. I can have as much as I want here!

[...Oh, he's finished his dango. Let's try that new type, then.]

I suppose the phrase "all things in moderation" doesn't enter into it, then?

[Teasing. Gently. Have some more dango, Link.]

I don't think I've heard that phrase. [...It shows. Ooh, this dango is nice.] Hey, it's the same colours as the flowers for the last festival.

Are they? That's a rather odd coincidence.

When was the last festival?
blessedbyfarore: (warm smile)

[personal profile] blessedbyfarore 2011-07-12 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
A few months ago - I think it was called Hanami. There were all these pink flowers growing, and...

[And he's off, talking about every detail of the festival he can remember.]

[Giles will pause him once or twice to swing back around by the food booth for more sweets.]
