LET'S. GET. GARDENIIIING.
Who: Everyone!
What: Gardening!
When: Sunday 14th August, all day
Where: Outside the Welcome Centre
Summary: Finally, the time has come to get Luceti's memory garden on the road.
Rating: ...I sincerely hope this won't go above a PG rating.
Early on Sunday morning, Link can be found outside the Welcome Centre - gathering seedlings and seed packets, setting aside a willow sapling, laying out gardening tools. When it's still fairly early by the standards of most people, especially for a Sunday morning in summer, the following message will go out over the journals:
"Hi, everyone! D'you remember the garden I talked about earlier? Well, all the beds have been dug and I've got lots of plants, so come over to the Welcome Centre today and plant something for your friends that have gone home!"
If anyone heads on over, they'll find Link sitting back and relaxing, keeping an eye on the piles of gardening implements, small pots of seedlings and packets of seeds and a collection of bulbs, and a large sheet of paper and bundle of pencils. Across the top of the paper, the words, 'Leave a message for friends!' is written, and Link has already written the first message - 'Hi Vivi, I hope you like the gardens! Love Link'.
There will be snack runs over the course of the day. And if he can convince certain people, live music. Remembering friends, being outside on a sunny day (refreshing after yesterday's storm!), nice food, and music - what could be better?
((OOC: Forward-dated to Sunday. Open to everyone, mingle away! If anyone has questions or needs help or wants to know WTF is going on, Link will be on hand for the whole day to keep an eye on things.))

She hadn't known him as well as some of her other friends, but he was the first that she knew to leave. A long time ago, Walter had left, but he was back now, so it was all right.
She looks back to Giles. "Are you planting any other special flowers?"
no subject
He hasn't figured out what would be good flowers for Xander. Something tough. Something that would survive in the willow's shade.
"...s-so, um, yes. I am planting a few more."
no subject
"What kinds of flowers are you going to plant?"

The hole looks to be deep enough, and he tells her this. "I think we can stop digging now."

"...and, um, now we fill it in, yes?"

She uses her hands to start scooping dirt back into the hole, making sure not to pack it in too tightly.
Grune will also probably get record use for this icon.
Giles does the same, leaving the spade where it sits. When in Rome, do as the amnesiac, good hearted gardeners do.
Hey, there are a lot worse icons to see regularly.
Once the whole is filled, Grune gets up to retrieve a watering can. "Now we should give her a little drink."
It's the "eye contact is an issue" icon.
As long as it's not "Bitchface." Or "Vampire." :P
The "bitchface" was the only tag I could think of for that face. And vampire almost never gets play
He looks inside, just to check that there is actually water in there. Finding that there is indeed some left, he very carefully tips the can so that it patters onto the leaves of the willow sapling. Once he's satisfied, Giles simply watches the water soak into the dirt for a few seconds before getting back to his feet and dusting himself off.
"Now what?"
It works seriously well. XD And I would hope not!
It is truly the only suitable tag. And no, he's only been vamped once. For the moment.
If it ever happened again, Grune would be so doomed.
She laces their fingers together and says, "Yes, he did a very good job. Everyone looks like they're having so much fun."
I...yeah, I'm not sure I could play that out. He might not eat her, but it would still be bad.
Possibly the worst part would be that Grune would forgive him, instantly and completely.
That would indeed make it x10000000 times worse
...I remember that there was one experiment where I, um, couldn't really go back to my apartment. I wound up staying with different people, most of whom I'd never properly met before then."
Halloween. Gotta love it. Jackie Faber and Sano aren't in the village anymore, but the help was most heartily appreciated at the time.
And then she would bake him a cake to cheer him up from being traumatised...from attacking her.
"Oh, it was very nice of your friends to let you stay with them."
Which would make it worse. Grune, why you do this?
"Yes, it was. Helios and Frederic have let me stay with them since I came back. Everything has been going...much better, since then."
Because she loves you, Giles.
