Where: Outside the Welcome Centre
Summary: Finally, the time has come to get Luceti's memory garden on the road.

Early on Sunday morning, Link can be found outside the Welcome Centre - gathering seedlings and seed packets, setting aside a willow sapling, laying out gardening tools. When it's still fairly early by the standards of most people, especially for a Sunday morning in summer, the following message will go out over the journals:

"Hi, everyone! D'you remember the garden I talked about earlier? Well, all the beds have been dug and I've got lots of plants, so come over to the Welcome Centre today and plant something for your friends that have gone home!"

If anyone heads on over, they'll find Link sitting back and relaxing, keeping an eye on the piles of gardening implements, small pots of seedlings and packets of seeds and a collection of bulbs, and a large sheet of paper and bundle of pencils. Across the top of the paper, the words, 'Leave a message for friends!' is written, and Link has already written the first message - 'Hi Vivi, I hope you like the gardens! Love Link'.

There will be snack runs over the course of the day. And if he can convince certain people, live music. Remembering friends, being outside on a sunny day (refreshing after yesterday's storm!), nice food, and music - what could be better?

Pommy mews. "It's nothing at all for a hero like Pommy!" He takes a closer look at the marigold Grune is planting. "What kind of flower is this?"

"It's a marigold. Isn't it pretty?" She takes a bite of the scone, completely not noticing the somewhat…gritty texture. "Oh, my, this is delicious!"

"It's a very pretty flower," Pommy agreed, finishing off his own scone. "Pommy heard that everyone is planting flowers for people who have gone home. Does this mean that Grune knows people who were able to go home?"

She swallows another bite of the scone before answering. "Yes, Harry and Gem both went home. But I'm making sure to plant flowers for everyone. That way, everyone can be happy."

[bemyused]

Pommy hops up and down excitedly. "That makes sense! Can Pommy help Grune?" He's already planted a few flowers of his own, but he thinks he'd enjoy it more with company.

[lostinmyway]

She beams. "Oh, I'd love if you helped! Everything goes so much better when you do it with a friend."

[bemyused]

"Myu, Pommy agrees!" Pommy looks around. "Um...what should Pommy start with first?"

[lostinmyway]

"You can start with anything you want." It's a little hard not to slip into Pommy's unique speech pattern, actually. "Do you have a favourite flower?"

[bemyused]

Pommy thinks this over. "Well...Pommy likes a lot of flowers." He remembers a girl he liked back home. "Lilies are pretty, though!"

She immediately beams. "Oh, yes, they're so beautiful! Let's go find some!"

Pommy skips off to where all the flowers and things are. He finds the lilies easily enough, but then he spots the roses and the tulips and the impatiens and now he wants to plant more!

So he looks up at Grune. "Myu, Pommy wants to get more than just the lilies! Can Grune help Pommy carry some of these over?"

Grune immediately begins scooping up the flowers, taking care not to damage them in any way. "Of course! We can plant as many flowers as you want."

[bemyused]

Happy to be spending time with such a beautiful, kind lady, Pommy heads back with the lone flowerpot that his tiny form can manage to carry, and sets to work digging a hole in the ground to hold the lovely plant.

Grune gently sets down the flowers by Pommy and goes to retrieve another load. She can't exactly remember the flowers he listed, so she picks up a bunch of them at random and brings those over, as well.

Digging around in the dirt like this reminds Pommy of the first time he went to meet Bomberman's parents, not long after he moved in with Bomberman in Diamond City. After a delicious breakfast, Pommy had gone to help Bomberman and his father in the vegetable garden. But the summer weather had been brutal that day, and Pommy had clocked out early. Still, for the little time he spent involved, it had been quite fun.

Pommy glances up at Grune, who's brought even more flowers for the critter to plant. He thinks to himself that Bomberman and Grune would make good friends.

"There," she says when the flowers are all settled. "Do you think we need more?"

[bemyused]

Pommy looks around at his own handiwork, at the flowers Grune's planted, and everything else planted by the other citizens of Luceti. "Probably not, myu," he says. "It all looks nice, doesn't it?"

[lostinmyway]

"Oh, yes. Everyone is working so hard to make the garden beautiful."

…Now where did the trowel go?

[bemyused]

Pommy notices Grune looking around for something. "Is something wrong, Grune?"

[lostinmyway]

"Oh, it seems I've misplaced the trowel," she replies.

The gardening implement is maybe ten feet away.

[bemyused]

"Oh, Pommy will get it for you!" He does just that, eagerly scurrying back with it and presenting it to Grune in both of his paws like some sort of mystical dagger. "Here!"

[lostinmyway]

Grune gives him a delighted smile and takes the trowel from him. "Thank you, Pommy! That was very kind of you."

Tool in hand, she starts digging a hole in a nearby a patch of upturned earth, ready to plant still more flowers.

[bemyused]

Pommy works besides Grune, humming an atonally cheerful tune. After a little while, though, he starts to get a bit tired, and he sits down.

[lostinmyway]

It takes a while for Grune to notice, but eventually she does. "Are you all right?"

[bemyused]

Pommy quickly gets to his feet. "Myu, Pommy's fine! Pommy just wanted to...um...let Grune have a chance to plant more flowers, since Pommy's done a lot already!"

Pommy, Grune has been here since this event started -- it's a safe bet that no one's gotten a chance to plant more flowers than her.
