Where: Outside the Welcome Centre
Summary: Finally, the time has come to get Luceti's memory garden on the road.

Early on Sunday morning, Link can be found outside the Welcome Centre - gathering seedlings and seed packets, setting aside a willow sapling, laying out gardening tools. When it's still fairly early by the standards of most people, especially for a Sunday morning in summer, the following message will go out over the journals:

"Hi, everyone! D'you remember the garden I talked about earlier? Well, all the beds have been dug and I've got lots of plants, so come over to the Welcome Centre today and plant something for your friends that have gone home!"

If anyone heads on over, they'll find Link sitting back and relaxing, keeping an eye on the piles of gardening implements, small pots of seedlings and packets of seeds and a collection of bulbs, and a large sheet of paper and bundle of pencils. Across the top of the paper, the words, 'Leave a message for friends!' is written, and Link has already written the first message - 'Hi Vivi, I hope you like the gardens! Love Link'.

There will be snack runs over the course of the day. And if he can convince certain people, live music. Remembering friends, being outside on a sunny day (refreshing after yesterday's storm!), nice food, and music - what could be better?

Oh, there it is!

She picks up the trowel and starts digging a nice little hole in the ground for the bachelor buttons seeds.

Link is getting rather dirty. Oh well - he stands to get the sunflower (having long since discarded his shoes, they're over by the door to the Welcome Centre), then delivers it to its new home.

"There - we have a sun!"

Grune is getting equally dirty, but that's what gardening is for. She isn' t noticing.

"And soon we'll have a sky!"

Reaching for the cloudflower seeds, he starts digging a space for them. "And clouds in the sky!" he grins, brushing his hands off before sprinkling in the seeds. "I wonder if there's any flowers that look like birds?"

She thinks about that for a bit. "Hmm.... I wonder."

She hopes there are. It would make their sky even better!

"If I see any, we can plant them," he declares confidently. Of course, there's also the possibility of actual butterflies in their sky...

"I hope we do. I'm sure they would be very pretty."

Maybe they can find a flower that looks like Ques, Fenimore's pet.

Link would quite like to avoid flowers that look like Peahats. Stupid things...

Once that's done, he sits back on his heels. "There!" he declares, tracing a line of bare soil near the bottom of the display. "Should we put some green plants here? It can be grass or trees or something."

"Oh, that's a very good idea!" Link has so many good ideas. "Maybe we could grow some moss."

Hmm.... Would it be shady enough for moss right here?

"Moss would look good," he agrees slowly, "How do you grow it, though? I thought it just sort of happens."

[lostinmyway]

"I think we can grow it if we find it somewhere else," she says, thinking carefully. "We can move some of the moss from there to our garden."

"Like in the forest?" He's definitely seen some there. "I can bring some over tomorrow."

"Oh, I could help!"

After all, it was a lot of fun looking for berries with Link this morning.

"Okay," he agrees cheerfully, "Should we meet in my garden tomorrow morning, then?" And then it's just a quick jump across the road and past community house four to the forest.

"All right. I'd like to see your garden again."

Now whether she'll remember to meet him....

...Good point. Maybe he can swing by her place if she's not there after a little while...

"It's growing really nicely," he says instead, "I kind of want to plant a fruit tree. Next summer, we can have fruit right there!"

[lostinmyway]

That might be for the best.

"Oh, what kind of fruit will you grow?" Maybe he could grow all kinds of trees.

"Apples might be easiest," he muses, "And more berry bushes. I wonder if anyone else here grows fruit?"

[lostinmyway]

"Hmm.... Maybe we could find out. Then we could help them pick the fruit."

Unlike many, Grune has no ulterior motive of hoping to be asked to share, too.

Oh, really? Link does. Yum, fruit.

"Uh huh. Maybe the next garden we plant can be a fruit one!"

"We could plant a whole orchard!" It would be so much fun!

[blessedbyfarore]

"That might take a lot of time to take care of," he muses - wasn't there an orchard in the farm lands near the mountains?

Still, it was a bit hard to reach for a casual snack.

"Maybe all our friends could get together and look after it," she suggests. It could be something fun to do together.

[blessedbyfarore]

"Maybe," he smiles, "Or we can work on the one in the farm lands."

[lostinmyway]

"There's an orchard in the farm lands?" Did she know about this?
