Day 4

[Back-to-back, you say? Well, Riku does look like he could use some assistance, given that he's surrounded by soldiers. Sure, he's got magic and his sword, but one teen can only cover so much ground, and he's pretty exhausted from all the fighting.]

[ her scythe slides through the calf muscle on one soldier as she battles her way into the middle -- riku, there. she makes the briefest, reassuring eye contact before breaking out into full-on strategy mode. picking and choosing her opponents from the crowd and eventually downing them. ]

[And Riku gives a quick nod as confirmation. After that, he's launching himself at another enemy, doing a quick, spinning motion with his sword. Immediately afterwards, he rolls off to the side and launches a blast of dark firaga.]

[ the magic startles her but she sticks with it -- weaving between the blast, avoiding it, cutting down who she can while she can. teamwork comes naturally to her once it's down to just instinct. ]

[He'll be careful to aim his next blast away from her, at least. No need for friendly fire around here!]

[ she appreciates it! and cuts the next enemy down with startling ferocity. ]

[While Riku shoves one of the attackers with his elbow before whirling around for another slash.

Hopefully they'll be through with these guys soon, but the teamwork makes it a whole lot easier.]

[ her scythe splits through the next enemy's wings with a sickening crack. forward step, whirl, roundhouse kick. the last opponent falls to the sand

buffy straightens. ]
