[....Pardon him while he dies of embarrassment. He reaches down to try and pry it off.]

Better than drowning, I guess.

[He'll just keep telling himself that, really.]

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
Guess so. [...Er. But that brings to mind something else.]

How did you not drown if you fell off?
automailed: (seriously though don't do that shit.)

Uh... do you know a guy named Link? He lent me this. [He shrugs off his red coat to wring the water out of it, then tugs a corner of his shirt aside to reveal the blue tunic beneath it.] He said it'd let me breathe underwater in case I fell overboard. Turns out he was right.

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 09:24 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, that's right. [He'd seen Link's entry, but hadn't looked further into it because of his owns preparations.] ...Well, at least you were prepared. How's your arm, though?
automailed: ([manga] errrgh not a good thing.)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-08-30 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)
...Soggy. [He gives it a shake, watching it drip it a leaky sponge.] Not really anything I can do about it, though. It's waterproof, so it's alright.

[He'll just have to let it dry so it doesn't rust or something. Winry would kill him.]

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-08-30 11:54 pm (UTC)(link)
That's good. We're still going to be out here for awhile, after all. [Defending the cargo, keeping the enemies at bay. Yeah, they're totally not sitting ducks on this island.]
automailed: (eh what?)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-08-31 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
It's pretty calm right now, isn't it? [He glances around, noting the lack of attackers.] I'd like to dry the automail off, if I've got the time for it.

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-08-31 07:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, things are a little quieter right now. Pretty sure there's at least a few more soldiers that retreated back into the forest. [Which was a good distance away from the beach.

Leon was in the process of trying to get some food down during this mission, so now that he knows the seaweed monster is just Ed, he goes back to opening up his pack.]
automailed: (someone's writing fanfic about me!?)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-08-31 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
[Edward glances off in that direction, mulling it over, then turns back to the open ocean.]

And more will probably be coming... dammit. Is it always like this...?

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-09-01 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
We used to get approximate numbers of enemies in the area, but I guess it's hard to tell when we're traveling such a long distance. [Was this entire place enclosed like the other battlegrounds? Or were they finally seeing a world without Shifting barriers?]
automailed: (someone turned on the cranky function.)

Probably hard to estimate. They're sending a lot of ships at us, and it's not like we know how many soldiers are on a ship until they actually get off it.

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-09-03 01:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess so. But ships have upper capacities; even high estimates would have been nice. [He pulls out a granola bar and starts eating. Hurray dry rations.] Balloon airships are a new one for me, though.
automailed: ([manga] thanks for telling me.)

I've never seen anything like them, either. We don't have vehicles that can fly in Amestris.

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-09-05 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
Something we have in common, then. Our transportation technology's nowhere near that advanced on my home planet -- just wagons and boats.
automailed: ([manga] mrr? what do?)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-09-05 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
We've got cars in the city, but that's about it.

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-09-07 08:13 am (UTC)(link)
Cars? ...Man, my planet's so backwater. [How long would it take for them to discover cars? And trains?]
automailed: <by user name="tentacleness" site="www.livejournal.com"> (snooping all up in ur business)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-09-07 04:08 pm (UTC)(link)
You don't have them, but you know what they are?

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-09-07 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)
[...Oh. That's right. Probably should have explained that.]

My home planet's pretty underdeveloped, but I was living on another planet before I came to Luceti. So yeah, I know about cars and trains. And spacecrafts. [Among other things.]
automailed: ([manga] sooo... not okay then.)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-09-07 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, that's right- aren't you the one who made those teleporters?

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's right. [He keeps eating.] Someone told you? [He's pretty sure it was claimed as a Brigade accomplishment back when it was done, much to Sokka's chagrin.]
automailed: ([manga] whazzat about other alchemists?)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-09-08 07:37 pm (UTC)(link)
It's in the guide. [Which he's read. Twelve times.]

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-09-08 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow, really? [It's been a long while since he's read up on Professor Sage's guide, since he's been around so long. He snorts, shaking his head.] Wonder why.
automailed: ([manga] this means I totally win.)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-09-09 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Edward shrugs.] You'd have to ask the one who wrote it. Probably just wanted to give you the credit?

[identity profile] book-of-chaos.livejournal.com 2011-09-09 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it doesn't really matter, I guess. I'm just surprised, since those things are usually rolled up into Brigade accomplishments.
automailed: ([manga] you make it sound so easy.)

[personal profile] automailed 2011-09-10 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
[....uuugh, talk about a mood killer. He doesn't want to hear about the Brigade.]

What, you're part of that thing?
