[Annnnd rallying.] ...so what. [Getting sick. She's been sick since she got here. Nami feels like laughing. She doesn't. But the strength is gone from her voice, leaving a shaky post-adrenalin exhaustion that grows with every word.] What I do isn't any of your concern. We barely know each other, remember?

That doesn't matter out here. You are an ally, therefore your safety is my concern.

...you need a doctor. [Frowning. Actually, they're pretty far away from base.]

[He blinks, looking to his other arm. Oh yes, bleeding arm.]

I can manage the walk back. I'll return to the ships once you agree to go back as well.

[It's on the tip of her tongue to tell him to stop acting like her father or something. Then she remembers he already played that role. Someone's laughing at them somewhere, she bets.

Nami frowns and squints at the blood, then shakes her head. And frowns again when the world threatens to tilt at an impressive angle. Just gonna use you to steady herself, Alexei-- and then her jaw sets and she reaches for his arm like that was her intent all along.] Here. Give me that.

[...he has a point. She acknowledges it. She'll just... do something about that blood first.]

... [Arm, she has now.] Are you sure you can manage this? I can tend to it myself.

Your healing isn't thorough. [She remembers that healing after Kefka, even if he doesn't. Despite the snappish nature of her words, she is actually gentle with his arm, calling on Nala's magic to knit the torn flesh and stop the bleeding.

...you win. [Feels like her words are running into each other.]

...? [His injured arm still hurt, but he'll still use it to support her.]

[Wow, it's just like when they were actually friends. Nami makes a face.]

[Then she loses her footing entirely. How good are you at catching collapsing navigators?]

[Pretty good? Possibly better without an injured arm? He's got a hold of her before she falls to the ground, an arm around her waist and using his body as the support.

Escorting not carry--oh forget it. He's going to sit her against a tree for a moment. He is thankful for Nami's help with his arm, but he was still wary of it, especially now that he'll have to carry her. He calls for his machine and then opens a compartment. He had a few first aid items on him already. Putting a splint and a bandage roll will keep his arm more secure before he tries to move Nami.

As he works on mending his arm, he ponders over what she was muttering about before she passed out...

He frowns at that. Thanks for the remainder that he's missing a small chunk of his memories.]

[As luck would have it, Richard just happens to be in the near vicinity. He'd gotten separated from Asbel and the others during the fighting, and in the process of trying to find his way back, he'd somehow managed to wind up even deeper in the forest. So much for his navigational skills.

His first instinct upon seeing human-shaped figures through the brush some distance away is to raise his hand in preparation to cast a spell... that is, until he gets close enough to recognize a rather familiar head of red hair.]

... Miss Nami?

[A voice? Shit, this would be a bad time to be attacked by someone. He quickly stands, arm still only partially tended to.]

Who is there? [His machine was making clicking sounds, trying to locate the source of the voice.]

It's Richard.

[He lowers his arm and steps forward to show that his sword is sheathed at the moment. If anything, he looks concerned about her condition.]

Is she injured?

[...He relaxes.]

No, she merely passed out from exhaustion. She needs to see doctor right away though. She might be getting sick.

Getting sick?

[That brings back very unpleasant memories of the last draft he was on; worried, he moves closer and bends down to get a closer look at her.]

... Doctor Law is here; if it is an illness, he should be able to help. We'll need to get her back to the others first, however.

...Trafalgar Law? [He returns to tending to his arm.]

I would appreciate the help with moving her.

Yes-- you know him as well?

[It's then that Richard notices the wound Alexei is trying to take care of and nods his head towards it.]

I can at least help with that wound, if you'll allow it.

He's the assigned Captain for the battleship I was on.

[He looks to his arm.]

...Whatever you can do. As long as you don't pass out either.

[Richard laughs a little, though it's strained.]

If I were going to pass out, I think I would have done so by now. Here--

[And he reaches out to hover a hand over the wound, a faint green glow surrounding it as Nala's power begins to work. It's fortunate that he can use his Filial skills on these drafts now or else he would be not nearly as well off as he is at the moment.]

[He allows Richard to do his work and he then examine his arm once he's finished.]

[Richard draws his hands back to examine the wound as well.]

Will that be enough for the moment, or should I try again?

This should be fine. We should worry about her safety right now. [He moves over towards Nami.]

Can you assist me and get her up so we can take her back?

[Yeah, he's pretty sure that Nami is in worse shape than this man is saying, if her appearance is any indication. The faster they can get her to a doctor, the better.]

The best plan might be to get her onto my back. I can carry her that way without any trouble, and it will make the trip back faster.
